Scout player - From Hero to Zero in one day... What a hell?

Hi all,

Have an amazing story about the guy whom I bought on the scout list in the middle of last season. He turned out to be an amazing talent and had form rating 8-9 in all games. He is corner specialist so was giving also plenty of passes from corners and scoring as well. I was pretty happy about the guy as scout players somehow have been a flop for me before.

Now, new season has started... 5 games so far... This man form has dropped to the very bottom - 5,5,5,4,5... D@mn! How the hell can it be? That is the guy I trusted the most in new season... There are no passes anymore, no goals, even his name is not appearing during the game at all. But tactics and formations have not changed. It is still the same team...

The worst is that I played against the team twice weaker than mine, won 7:0, but his rating remained the worst in the team (5). Obviously, he has has not scored and delivered only 1 scoring pass from the corner.

WTF? What to do? Should I sell him or wait till his form gets back? It such a disappointment...

Guys, please advise if you had such amazingly "talented" players and how you solved the situation.

something similar here. bought amazing talent from transfer list. with special ability, 18 year, fast trainer, but only getting rating 5-6 all the time. selling him today

It has happened to me before..... So far there have been only a few STs who have performed consistently for long... Erdogan was epic, Crofts is a legend.... This is Crofts 4th season for me, he is the 2nd highest Q player on my team and the highest scorer this season as well, 5 matches played, 5 goals scored, 4 assists given and avg form of 7.8....... He just scored a hattrick yesterday, scored and assisted in Cup yesterday and yesterday he took his 16th penalty for my team and scored it and his Penalty record is still 100% He rocks!!!*touchwood*

I was thinking about selling this guy, but... you know... after his success in previous season and my high hopes for him as playmaker (he is MC btw) for long time to come... its kinda personal affiliation to the guy. Thats why I thought that maybe there are some tip or tricks to get him back in shape...

Saransh, I do also have ST that I have PTed and he is already 4th season one of the best in my team, constantly delivering to expectations It is a great feeling to have such star in the team

I had several players bought from scouts, all of them have been flop so far. NO way I will spend any token on them anymore.

MCs sometime have flops in form, If i were you i would keep him playing.

My DMC last season also started that way, after a few games he was back to form, not a scout but also have corner taker SA.

hmm.. the matter of fact that I wont him to get back in the shape and play for my team Maybe I can renew his contract and pay him more? Can that help to bring this form back?

read some comments in the forum that changing the name could help but not sure if that is wise advise at all...

Do NOT sell him,. this is normal for scouts! they have a brilliant debut season then average at best next! but then come good again the season after that! this has happened to all my scouts.

renew his contract if there is 1 year left, try an keep him off 2 or 3 matches and them put him back and see how he reacts, change the arrows, if there are 2 strikers on yours first team try and play with a formation that involves 1 striker and keep him on the field

i`v not had scout but have had same problem one season a mega star next he`s left in changing room so i`v just kept on bench rather than sell so if the same next season i would sell but no new season he was back to his best
