The player with the highest quality in my team
gets the lowest rating (5-5-5-4)
How is this possible?

My goalkeeper had rating 7-8-8-7-8-7-7-7-8-7
the last two games (5-0 and 7-0) got 5-5

Is this happening because tomorrow i am playing
in the champions league final?

No, this is happening because quality don't mean anything, is just a level in nº, and stars are just to have the referance of the distance of Quality between players, to do the simulations. A player can have more quality that a 2nd, but can be worst proggrammed by default an, thats the important here, internal proggramming of the players.
Rating doesn't matter, the important is how a player contributed to the team. So, if your GK don't recive goals and have a 5, don't worry.
If the player with highest Q. have 5-5-5-4, see what he do, because you have to decide, looking if is well proggrammed, without see the Quality.

This happening because match ratings mean nothing, they are just random numbers.

My last game i won 4-0, both keepers made 1 save each and yet my GK got a rating of 5 for keeping a clean sheet but my opponents GK got a 7 despite losing 4 goals!!!! Ive had strikers score a hattrick but still only get a rating of 6!!!
