Doesn't make a difference, the "foot" is just visual.

Yes, my player makes crosses from the left and the right from a free kick and it doesn't make a difference. Specialist is specialist and he's a right footed player

hmm interesting... but i doubt it .. as it doesn't make any sense then to assign players in 2 different section .. one for left side and one for right side
i had a player 4* who was a corner specialist, and he had best assist over all the league and his corners were lethal .. but he was both footed L/R
interestingly the one am having now 5* instead of him is left footed and he struggled to have same effect especially in corners.. both are CM by the way

then they should fix this. its a problem. i am trying not only to assign corners and free kicks to correct feet players but i am also trying if possible to have left foot dc or left foot st etc to correct positions in the formation as it is in reality. i feel realy dum that i bothered myself with things that don't matter at all.
