If you have used the team swap function in the game then there is nothing you can do I'm afraid.

Once you change teams that's it, your old one is lost forever.

I can't say I am a fan of this update on the game. I think a better option would be a "dissolve club" option, which would then allow you to start again at the bottom. I don't like the idea of people picking up others ghost teams.
