Kneipenkick update:
Today was a very exciting day for all Kneipenkick (synonym for pub team) fans. In the league Kneipenkick faced league leader Albion Addicks with the chance to take over the lead. And in the CL league semis Slavche FC from Macedonia came to our pitch.
League (Lvl 3): FC Kneipenkick 2-0 Albion Addicks
Albion Addicks played in their usual (motivated) 4-4-2 line-up. He arrived at out ground in time and his (probably) mother gave additional 2% support. (His brother and sister support him normally, too. Good T11 family clan.) Kneipenkick also got external support by a manager called Pontus. @Pontus: First time we meet, man, but thanks for the support. I hope you enjoyed the game.
Kneipenkick started with a fake 4-1-3-2, that turned quickly into a narrow 4-1-2-1-2. The match was even in the first 30 minutes between both teams, but with a huge chance for Kneipenkick striker Kunz, who sadly wasted it pathetically. But right before half time the match got influenced by an injury. AA's Romanian 5* striker talent Robert Feraru got injured without influence of one of our players. Nigel reacted and strengthened the midfield to 4-5-1 straight during the half-time break. Kneipenkick could use the confusion of Addicks change of formation by Rasch after a nice pass from Bernd Gürser right (47.). Chris Rath decided to protect the lead by a system change to 3W-2N-3W-1-1, which worked. Over the complete match the Addicks only got 3 shots on target, while on the other side Evangelos Clemens decided the match after a nice combination with Kunz. Final score: FC Kneipenkick 2-0 Albion Addicks. FCK leads the league now by 2 points.
Champions League (Lvl 2): FC Kneipenkick 1-0 Slavche F.C. (aggregate 5-2)
After a very entertaining 4-2 away win at Slavche F.C., that costed a lot of nerves, Chris Rath tried today to keep the score down and also rest the top players (7 of them saw yellow during the CL competition). To archieve this goal he chose a motivated 4-1-4-1 against Slavches 3W-3-3W(AM)-1. Both teams neutralized each other in the first half, but after 57 minutes the relaxing athmosphere stopped. FCK striker Purt got injured, he had to be substituted by a first 11 player. Kunz came into the match and finally brought Slavches defense into trouble.
In the last 30 minutes FCK collected 9 corners (all pathetic, the normal corner specialist was rested and 7* Ronseth was incapable to play a nice corner). At least Kunz also provocated fouls that lead to freekicks. Clemens crossed the FK perfectly onto the head of defender Vasilev, 1-0 (74.). The final score.
General news:
20 years old midfielder Walter Garcia got today sold for close to 1 million € (90% of market value). Considering that he was lower 4* and he came as a 2 token free transfer, no bad deal. But also no bad deal for FCK, but the new owner can also be happy, he has some potential and good growth.
Outlook:
In the other semi-final Leganes gave Lepok FC a 5-1 spanking (first match 7-3, aggregate 12-4). So we face this strong team in the final.
In the league FCK travels tomorrow to F.P.E. La TriCo (6th). No easy task since their manager adopts his tactics each day and his tactics are usually tricky.
