Here we go... Experiment Number 2 in League. Papaleo as GK.
And the result is...
Kao FC 0-3 July Fourth League Round 18
Kao FC 82.6 4-1-2-1-2 Wide Diamond - July Fourth 99.8 4-4-2 Classic Papaleo playing GK
Papaleo keeps a clean sheet playing in goal for July Fourth after we decided to throw the striker in goal after not being productive on the other end of the pitch this season, but to be honest It was our brilliant defenders that did the job in all honesty, especially Ryan McNamara who made many tackles and cleared everything, because Papaleo was playing in goal, there was a possession penalty and the home team had most of the possession (52-48), But on the football side of things, Pepp Crawford opened the scoring for us on the 30 minute mark against the run of play after the home side could not find a way past R.McNamara, Then Zidane had a brilliant opportunity after skinning a couple of defenders to make it 2-0 just before HT, in the second half, it was a bit stale, the home side should of scored Tirana throughball found Toth 1v1 against Papaleo but he put it wide, Our other goal came midway through the second half when a Novotny corner found Robbie Savage in the penalty area to head it in and make sure of the comfortable win.
Goals: Crawford (30), Zidane (43), Savage (63) MOTM: R.McNamara, Papaleo got a '7' playing as GK.
Chronicles from the Eagles...
Cup: my boys are scheduled to play loos FC from Bangkok in the semi in a couple of days. Baring any event, this is team that will easily bested over 2legs - return leg will be played at our home ground in front of maximum capacity crowd. We shall not speculate for now about the finals until we scale this hurdle.
Champions league: A comprehensive 1-7 away win in the 1st leg quarter finals against one of the varied Asenal FC another Bangkok team almost guarantee us a place in the semi finals even if we don't kick a ball. Our second team lead my player manager- now bench warming club legend O D Ben will lead in line for the return leg in a couple of hours.
League: This will surely go down to the wire as predicted. 3teams are battling for 1st position. After match day 18: The eagles are on 49points, Aliance FC is on 48points and Fc cool runner on 45points. There is fight going on everywhere in the league...the fight for 4th position is also heating up, even the relegation battle is a dog fight as just 8points separate 6th from 13th position with 8games to play. It's to close to call in this league with about 12active players all fighting with tooth and nail while spilling blood.
This is a challenged we relish and a league victory this season we go down in history as the most competitive....even a second place will not be totally disappointing knowing fully well we did all we could? Back to reality of match day 19. The eagles travel to Holon Israel to face Aliance Fc in a top table clash in front on their 43000 screaming fans. Both clubs 1st team rating is 45+. This a match of all ages...pundits are all over this but both teams are evenly matched all over the pitch, with Aliance having superior defensive line and the eagles a slight edge in offence tanks to Crawford and Batistuta. We also have to be weary of the attacking threat of their striking duo of Aguero and Choi - both very dangerous players in the league! Book makers just tipped the odds a little in favour of Alliance because it an home match but never bet against the boys from down under.
Talking tactics Alliance s a team that plays only one formation 100% the time 4-3(w)-1-2. This team shows that playing countering formation is a farce. Just stick with the formation that suits your playing philosophy while change every game and spoil player bonding?
End of a dull day.... happily ensconced in 2nd..... 7 clear of 3rd....

Aliance FC vs The Eagles tomorrow, sounds like it will be a real cracker...!!! Come on the Eagles!!!
Never happy.... but it was always thus....
Who knows... if I do meet him in the Cup final.... anything can happen in one game!
Champions With 7 Games Remaining???
July Fourth vs The Gunner Fc.
FENIXJAS vs Besiktas
kamikaze vs Sungurlu FC
IF we win then we will be champions if both FENIXJAS and kamikaze fail to win. If not then we will be champions the next day with 6 games remaining if we beat kamikaze.
If it wasn't for that stupid 0-0 draw, we would of been champions with 7 games left without any results from other games.
Yes if we win and kamikaze and/or FENIXJAS win we would be 21 points ahead and a far superior GD but would not be mathematically champions yet.

Thanks m8, hope to win too against that formation.
So since I have some new Scouts available... I was wondering... is there EVER a way you would buy a Scout with only one position?
dropped to 4 points behind 1st place played away last night and lost 1-0.....picked up a red card after only 3 minutes :( oh well going for a 3-4-3 formation tonight see how that works out I'm hoping for a 7-6 win or some stupidly high score
Yay no player injury in the League Match today! Lets wait for the CL Game which he's gona play hard tacking because of the 3-0 win for me in the last Game.
i Won the game 1-3 against the 2nd team, i am just 2 points behind him right now but tomorrow i'll play against the 1st one :)
League, round 19 - Perfect Tactics 6-0 ????pea
We go 15 points clear for the time being.
It was a dull first half, with no goals being scored as the opponents defence was at their best. We took the lead on 48 minutes from a free kick, and yes it was Petersen with the goal. The goals were flying in as 2 minutes later, another free kick awarded and Crawford scored from a header. Suarez put us 3-0 up before Petersen got injured *somehow*. His replacement Mata, was immediately an impact when he set up Silva and then Suarez scored before Mata helped himself to a goal giving us a very convincing win.
Goals: Petersen (48'), Crawford (50'), Suarez (56', 73'), Silva (70'), Mata (81')
MOTM: Suarez
Whats this??? Petersen is not injured anymore... thanks to some magical redpacks!
I'm sure someone is trying to knock the player out of his greatness. Papaleo in my team just suddenly stopped scoring goals as regular, Probably still score about 35 this season but its not that great given the players quality.
July Fourth in talks with Hatsune Transfer news, The Daily Mirror.
July Fourth have made a formal desire that they would like to sign 5*99 rated L16 Japanese right midfielder/attacking midfielder Miku Hatsune, Hatsune is believed to be a very fast trainer and will be interested in being trained to 9*115, It is understood July Fourth player manager L.McNamara is willing to invest over 500T alone on Hatsune and also believes the player will enpower the club to their first ever 26-0-0 next season in the league.
Hatsune, 17, Is currently considering an offer from erster FC Puma and ASLANLAR and also Batigo United and Sentepespor all rumoured to be interested in the young talented Japanese superstar.
Crazy morning.... missed the alarm.... so I missed the match.... since I hate to show my cards.... my REAL formation was not set.... so we went in with 3 players OOP.... 2 of them severly so....doesn't seem to have been a penalty as I only lost possession 54-46....
Had one of my OOP players get injured in the 5th minute.... apparently the way auto-sub works is that a DMC is consider a midfielder... not a defender.... because my injured player was not replaced though I had available defenders on my bench.... just no midfielders.... they were both on the pitch....
Despite all this..... the boys escape 1-nil to the Arsenal.... I mean... the Good Guys!
LOL.... at least I'll be awake for the 2nd match.....
July Fourth 6-2 The Gunner FC League Round 19
July Fourth 99.8 3N-1-4-2 - The Gunner FC 83.2 4-3W-1-2
July Fourth stormed to another win the league this season to put themselves of brink of being champions, It could happen today if both FENIXJAS and Kamikaze both fail to win their games today, if not a draw with kamikaze will be enough tomorrow. Alex Zidane started as a striker in this game and was excellent along with L.McNamara, This team would be awesome next season if July Fourth can sign Hatsune who is a special talent that many defences will hate to play against, Hatsune for a attacking midfielder has scored 152 goals in 76 games at youth level, Papaleo, Zidane, L.McNamara and Mensah will provide Hatsune with all the assistance needed.
Right on with the game and Zidane wasted no time putting the ball past the goalkeeper on 19 minutes with a excellent through ball was played to him from Papaleo, Gunners replied with a counter attack finding Neji who had a great game himself to be said and he smashed it past the keeper for the equaliser, On 37 minutes Papaleo had a free-kick (No Mensah playing) and it was a good one but the goalkeeper saved it, L.McNamara on wing play was excellent and he struck it well with the last kick of the first half to give us the half-time lead, Then he got his brace just after the restart with a header from a Novotny Corner, Papaleo then passed to Zidane who got his brace too with an low piledriver to put the game to bed, The Gunner FC found another way to score again, and it was Neji with an excellent run past our defender to shoot past Murphy in our goal to get his brace, Late on L.McNamara came close to a hatrick, he was fouled in the box and Papaleo put away the Penalty, L.McNamara a minute later put it wide once again missing out on the hatrick and Papaleo was through on goal late on but squared the pass to Robbie Savage who hit it into the empty net.
Goals: Zidane (19,57) L.McNamara (45,49) Papaleo (78) Savage (85) Neji (28,74) MOTM: Zidane.
Champagne On Ice
Besiktas 0-3 FENIXJAS... This means we will not win the league this evening, A draw tomorrow against Kamikaze will secure the title mathematically for July Fourth, We are 21 points ahead with 7 games left with far superior GD.

Looks like I'm playing the scout buyer in the CL semi-finals.
Will be very tough to beat...
Speaking of not complaining... I was just looking at my earlier match.... the dice were in my favor....
33yo DC playing OOP at AMC - Rating 7
21yo DL/DML playing OOP at DMC.... injures ankle in 5th minute - Rating 7
24yo DMR/DMC playing OOP at DC - Rating 8.... MotM....
On top of that.... my opponent drew 3 yellow cards.... so that's Free Kick territory....
AND.... we had 10 corners.......
No wonder we get the win... ugly as it was.... :D

Changed my formation after Thursdays fiasko (see below), and now Balkan Boyz will be playing the semi-finals
Champions league quarter final, 2nd leg - Avraz FC 1-4 Perfect Tactics (0-5)
Perfect Tactics win 9-1 on aggregate.
Another dull start to the game, Perfect Tactics were the dominant team but couldn't convert their chances. Petersen was brought down in the box, Frasinescu was shown the yellow card and the penalty was converted to give us the lead. In the 2nd half, Avraz equalised early on from a counter attack, Zony with the goal. But we hit right back, Celik with his second goal for the club with a long range strike. We took a 2 goal lead after Frasinescu fouled Petersen again and was sent off for a second yellow card. Petersen scored from the free kick before setting up Silva for a convincing 4-1 victory.
Goals: Petersen (42' PEN, 69'), Zony (49'), Celik (56'), Silva (73')
MOTM: Petersen
guys for how many time does my skill points stay in my players if i dont use them ??
