I'm currently saving tokens and boosters ready for a bit of power training for early next season for us, most likely we will need to make 3 or 4 new signings. I may only actually sell about 2 players next season.

How comes you never seem to make any money? Do you play with heavy win bonuses? My team always makes a good profit each season which usually is offset by a stadium expansion every season, soon I won't have a stadium to expand. As at the start of next season I will complete 'pro arena' and immediately start construction of the 'world arena'.
Gonna rock the 3N-1-4-2 in my Cup game.... it looks like a good counter formation.... I've never used it before... but now that I see it... it allows me to bring all my best players to bear.... excited to see it in action...

Hello! I am new in this forum, but I have been playing this for a while. However, I lost my level 14 team u.u, so I had to start again (currently level 2) ... Anyways I am doing great on my League, but my Champion League is really competitive.

It is going to be a good match, I hope you bring your popcorn to see our match
His team ... Attachment 2821
I've been seeing some nice results pulling back a central defender into a sweeper role.... very few one-on-ones with my keeper now.....
Plus I have solid replacements available at DMC as well as ML and MR which can also move up to Attacking positions without OOP penalties in case I need to push more...
^ I lol'd, Nah, and I didn't have time to check it either.
Because of him, I had to reinforce my team:

(most of them were 2 to 5 tokens, with an exception of one which was 81 :3 (It was fun...))

Yes I have the option to switch to 3-5-2 V or 4-1-4-1 or 3-5-2 flat or 3-4-3 or 4-4-2 or classic or even 4-5-1 flat or 4-5-1 V or the Hexagon with a bit of reshuffling my squad if needed, so I have an option of 9 different formations to use here. also a wide 3 man defence is optional too. So I have set my team up now to change tactics and formations if needed.
A few seasons ago I was quite limited to formation change because I was mainly setup for 4-4-2 classic.
Ouch 81 KO rounds... I have just the thread for that photo....

My only match scheduled tomorrow, is an away league match at a tough opponent. The kick-off time was 17.20 GMT, and it meant that, for the first time this season, I wouldn't be able to attend the game, which could be crucial for my team, with the championship within my grasp. I've been feeling really frustrated.
However tonight, I've just got message in mailbox, that my opponent has used his right to change the ko time, and its now 22.15 GMT. Thanks mate (don't know him), but now I'll be able to attend.
:( It's a lot of tokens to spend on a player, I've been there myself, 73 KO for a 18 year old defender 1 skill point from 6* and he basically turned out to be my clubs worst ever signing, he was just too inconsistent for his high price tag. I mainly buy scouters these days, 6* close to 7* and young(ish) if I can.
I know, but scouted players are too expensive sometimes, and this season they keep giving me crappy ones. They are all between 27 to 33 years old. The youngest was 22 which was a goalkeeper, and I have a good goalkeeper (for 2 tokens)
Eragon Team 0-1 July Fourth Cup Semi-Final 1st Leg
Eragon Team 84.8 3N-1-3W-1-2 - July Fourth 99.9 3N-1-4-2
This was a poor showing by our team, in the first half most of our attacks where lead by Rocastle from the right hand of midfield, With a few shots on goal, in the 20th minute Rocastle's shot from 20 meters proved to the games winner as most of July Fourths XI showed little interest in the fixture, Both teams having a 5 man midfield effectively seemed to cancel each other out, In the second half, Eragon Team were the better side and had a few efforts on goal blocked and free-kick that hit the bar and probably should got a least a draw which they would of deserved, This wasn't the result that July Fourth were hoping for to take back to the second leg as we were looking to rest yellow carded players to prevent bans for the final vs erster FC Puma, but we have unfinished business here with Eragon Team.
Goal: Rocastle (20) MOTM: R.McNamara.
Good match against my friend in the cup semi
I really hope i win my first cup this season

I'm not so sure, I was looking for something like 3-0 and keep 5 players that are on a yellow card out for the second leg, now I may have to play my best XI to make sure I qualify. Just noticed my teams morale levels look on the low side, may have to feed the team with blue boosters before my champions league semi-final 1st leg tomorrow.
Trying to break down the 3W-1-3N-1-2 as my opponent uses it. He did lose to a formation that played 3N-2(DML/DMR)-2N-3 but it's a centred attack just like the other one.
I may go for the 4-5-1 V.. I think that's the logical choice. anyone else know?
First leg at home, just want to end the tie from the first leg but against this scout buyer, it won't be easy.. Plus Petersen is on a yellow card and I don't want him to get suspended for the final.
So while RONPEST did their business earlier in the day.... our boys came out this afternoon and answered.... 0-4 win and we can start thinking about the Final!

Wow, the league leader struggle even more than me today and only got a 2-2 at D.d.d. FC. Who would have thought this championship race could get excited, after matchday 13 I was 8 points behind him.
Attachment 2828
Hopefully I won't struggle tomorrow against Gluweh like in the away leg (0-1), then this league will see a top clash on Wednesday:

Heres mine... No suprises to see erster FC Puma win 3-0.

Sunday Review.
LGE: LONDON CITY 2-1 JONATHON FC
A narrow league win that was too close for comfort, against lower half team. After a scoreless first period, we took the lead through Seamus Flanagan after 52 minutes. Jonathon equalised shortly after, but Flanagan restored our lead on 82. Naturally, Flanagan again scooped m.o.m.
CUP: LONDON CITY 1-1 COLOGNE BUCKS
The lads did us proud tonight by holding our elustrious visitors to this first leg draw. Bucks missed a first half penalty (it went wide), and the break came with scores locked 0-0. The game carried on much like the first period, until Cologne struck what seemed to be a winner after 83 minutes. But the lads dug deep and conjured up an equaliser for Flanagan on 86 minutes. We can go into the 2nd leg with our heads held high.
Daily summary. With thoughts on tonight's big cup game, we fielded a somewhat shadow team for today's league match, and nearly paid a costly price.
The cup match was a different story. With all the star players returning, we gave a fantastic performance against the best team left in the competition. The stats of both teams hardly compare. We are level 8, with av quality of 58.3 and team value of 252M. Cologne are level 11, with av quality of 70.4, and team value of 465M. It was strange though to play against a team with Angela Merkel as a central defender.
Massie Lodge appears to have placed the Level 8 League title safely into their trophy cabinet following a comfortable 3-0 home win against the strong Belgium opponent who was running 3rd. Opponents arrived with a strange 4-1-3N-1-1 formation as opposed to their usual 442 calssic, so the manager easily countered this with a 3N-1-4W-1-1. Two first half goals followed by a 3rd in the 55th minute & the game was all over red rover. The second team in the League could only manage a draw so with 6 games remaining Massie lodge now lie 11 points clear at the top of the table. We would have to lose four of the final six games to allow the trophy to slip from our grasp, & that will not be happening.
A comfortable 1-4 away win in the Cup semi final using our second stringers against the Level 6 opposition should see the lads step into their 4th consecutive Cup final with a view to retain the trophy won last season.
