What is the away goal rule? Im still Confused about it

I'm guessing they think if your playing a soccer manager game you know the soccer rules lol it's easy really hun as above only applies if teams are level after both games ie you can win 1-0 at home and lose 2-1 away add the scores up you got 2 they got 2 but they scored n away goal you didnt !!!!! right ??? so the team that scored more away goals on that win!!!!!!!!! but you can win 4-1 at home and draw 0-0 away they scored more away goals than you but add them up you got 4 they got 1 you win in 2 ties like a cup ,,think of the end of 1st tie as half time !!! did this help hun ??? ( wow I was serious ) lol

More simple, if the aggregate is 3-3 between A vs B just count x2 the goals away and u will know who is in next round.

If match 1:
A VS B 1-1 = 1-2

MATCH 2:
B VS A 2-2 =2-4

A VS B
= 5-4

A WON THE ROUND.

That only if aggregate is a draw. If with the goals x2 is draw too, is when you go to extra time or penalties.
