    ?

    SIBU FC 1-0 FC Schalke

FC Schalke 1-0 SIBU FC, so they go to extra time, both score, and FC Schalke won the round..¿?

The law say, that the goals in Extra time count per 1, not per 2 ( like the away goals innnn-side the 90' )

So if both score in the extra time, they have to go to shoot penalties.

No? At least IRL UEFA CL away goal rule applies during ET too.

Edit: but according to my logic SIBU FC should've won... I'm so done with Nordeus bs.

No the rules for Extra Time in CL is that whoever scores the most wins; if neither scores it goes to penalties; and if both teams score the same amount then the away team wins.

    Article 8

Away goals and extra time under the knockout system

8.01 For matches played under the knockout system, if the two teams involved in a
tie score the same number of goals over the two legs, the team which scores
more away goals qualifies for the next stage. If this procedure does not
produce a result, i.e. if both teams score the same number of goals at home
and away, two 15-minute periods of extra time are played at the end of the second leg. If, during extra time, both teams score the same number of goals,
away goals count double (i.e. the visiting club qualifies). If no goals are scored
during extra time, kicks from the penalty mark (Article 17) determine which
club qualifies for the next stage.

for TV I'v heared that is not double but... looking the rules, I see that is not an usual situaion and they were wrong LOL

I have to say that I'm not agree with this system, goals in extra time have to count x1 by my viewpoint (is enogh 90 minutes per team of doublegoal LOL )

but, Nordeus is wrong too with what they are doing so.... they have to look at this, and do some change^^

In UEFA champions league, away goal rule still applies AET.

In CONCACAF champions league, away goal rule does not apply after extra time.

In my opinion, CONCACAF does a better job applying the away goal rule.

    because:

each team plays 90 minutes as an away team
each team plays 30 minutes basically on a neutral ground.

During extra time, it sucks if

AC Milan and Real Madrid both tie each game 1-1 during regular time. Then the away team in the second game, AC Milan, scores during the 95'. Now Read Madrid has to score twice to win the game since AC Milan has the extra away goal. Why should AC Milan benefit playing 120 minutes as an away team but Read Madrid only played 90 minutes as an away team. Unfair to Read Madrid.

If you treat extra time as a neutral ground, Real Madrid needs to score once to draw and even the aggregate and force penalty kicks.

This is how CONCACAF runs things, and it is much better in my opinion.

And personally, I wouldn't mind if PKs were eliminated and players on the pitch were reduced during subsequent extra times with golden goal rule reintroduced.

Lol, fair? Its the Champions League.

Its not for Champions and its not a league.

If I was to list the unfair rules the away goals in extra-time one wouldn't be high up.

While I don't think the away goals rule is a great one extra time is not at a neutral venue so to treat it as such would just be a different type of unfairness.

But never mind, one day UEFA will scrap the rule and replace it with one based on a country co-efficient of TV audiences.

BTW, thanks Buffs for posting the rules.

Oh no problem Buffs, you're welcome.......

The away goal rule was designed like that to minimize the chance of going into ET and if it however goes into ET to minimize the chance of penalties because:
    a) Penalties are considered less fair 'cause it's a game of luck (as we know the game is considered a draw if it goes to penalties)
    b) To not get pro players exhausted when they have to play 2 games a week (because IRL you just can't heal them with rest packs)

You just gotta deal with it or go watch CONCACAF CL
