Still kind of wasted SPs because GK's SAs are considered to be one of the worst

If you're team could really use and benefit from a particular SA then I think it makes sense to get that first and early for a Youngster. The 'loss' of SP becomes less significant as he progress through the stars and that SA might bring more to the team than improved individual skills. If you don't choose right tho' then its a loss.

To SA or not can be 'ftw' or 'fail' depending on the circumstances imo.

1 vs 1 of my GK Lehmann works excellent.. but he had the ability when I bought him

In 20 seasons I just trained an ability this season, to a DR, ...the defensive wall, that for me is the better SA... the player have age 18 and 4* 89Quality, so he train so fast, the only problem is that he had an injurie... but I'm tanking so I have time :3

You guys are so mean, that dude is a new manager just tell him to stop training the guy for a new position, he will waste a season or more doing that and end up just selling him, maybe a 50% profit, while if he moved him up a star or more, then that player will double or triple in price.
In football it is better to be Lucky than Good.

    My deal is:
    Got a VERY fast trainer?
GK: train one-on-one stopper. Then push him until 7* if you can.
DC: train defensive wall SA. Then push him until 7* if you can.
ST: train one-on-one scoring ability. Then push him until 7* if you can.

The reasoning behind this is if you start pushing him to 7 stars immediately, as soon as he gets near the 7th star, he will become a VERY slow trainer and will gain very little.

In the long run if you got a fast trainer and started with the SA you'll only benefit.

Replying to the opening poster in a concise way:

    Hope that makes sense lol
Nope. 0 or 49 is exactly the same thing in this game.

    It's stupid, I know.

And even worse, if you sell players before finishing special abilities, buyers will have to start from 0.
