The win streak continued today as Ninjaa FC won 3-0 on the road in league play. I learned an important lesson about one of my strikers today. Fernando Arroyo (4 star ST, only ST on my squad below 5 stars) will almost always become the focal point of the offense, even when paired with a much better striker. Last season, when paired with Arroyo, then 6 star (now 5 star) striker, Marcos Herrero, had half as many goals as assists, with most of his assists on goals scored by Herrero. Today, when Arroyo was paired with 6 star striker Majid Kalaei, Kalaei assisted Arroyo in scoring 2 of the 3 goals, and Kalaei didn't score any goals. Previously in league matches, Kalaei (when paired with Herrero) was averaging 4 goals per match.

In the 2nd leg of the Cup qualifying round, Ninjaa FC won 3-2 at home to secure a spot in the next round (aggregate 9-5). Fantastic performance from Kalaei, who scored 2 late goals (77', 88'). The defense didn't perform as well as hoped, but even a 2-0 loss would have been good enough to advance.

Ninjaa FC has now defeated 2 level 4 teams in a row in Cup play, and will face yet another in the next round. I'm hoping to avoid level 5 teams until the later rounds, as there are quite a few that started the season at the same average quality as Ninjaa FC, but then went out and purchased multiple 7 star players (5 star for their level, since they are 2 levels ahead).

Don't think I mentioned it before, but I did manage to pick up a 5 star ML/AML yesterday. 1 hour later, a Nordgen ML/AML appeared on the market....

Rogers Cup starts today with qualifying round. COME ON GENIE!!!

Grigor Dimitrov could win as well.

Manuel Borhy, our new signing scores a hat-trick on his debut, in the destruction of AEPRE Gooners 10-0.

We also had a 3rd attempt to sign a new, better Alex Bilodeau.

    Shock Shock Horror Horror

Champions League: Buffs go down 2-1 away to Ahtariyo, closest rival of last 2 seasons .

Buffs started against the oppositions ND with 4-5-1V but after being 2-0 down after 30 mins a switch to 3-5-2V was made. The Buffs however just didn't have the killer touch today.

    Goals: Dalglish (44)

Perfect Tactics beats Succes FC 4-0 in the Champions League, Bilodeau III has been mediocre and disappointing so far. It was Jorge Rodriguez and Alejandro Guzman, who are the best performers today.

League: Buffs FC held to a draw again, 0-0 at home.

Another of those frustrating games against a mid-table side - 11 corners & 3 FKs for the Buffs and 3 oustanding saves for their keeper, with everything being 'deflected' or 'spins off' alongside 42 million 'he had to he was the last'. >.<

    Goals: .............................

Buffs faced a 3N-2W-2N-1-2 and started 4-ND before switching to 4-1-2N-3

Note to self: Shake it off Buffs Mad and move on.
