    I only changed my formation once in cup to counter a very strong and active, 2 levels above me manager, with a team full of scouts and world class players.
    Changing your formation and players too often will result failures.
    Playing against teams (abandoned teams) using the same formation and players for more than 1 season caused me some troubles
    (troll results)
    Playing the same formation w/ the same orders, you're team gets stronger with every game
