Use three defenders, AMLAMR+2ST and play hard defending.
Alternatively, 4 defenders, 2 DMC, 2 MC and play hard attacking (this work better if your GK is extremely strong).
In either case, long pass and force counterattack.
depends on his formation or alt just play your best team that fits formation or play defensive

Three defenders with hard defending, long pass and forced counterattack
I didn't win but put up a good fight against overwhelming odds using mainly reserved players.
Notice the amount of shoot and tackles, my formation hard counters the opposing formation by almost 2:1 in terms of chance creation.
I always play defensive counter-attacking against stronger or higher level teams. This has paid off in the past.
