What about a New tournament to entertain other managers?

New more-relaxed challenge for the bored managers who didn't qualify for the Champions League.

First make leagues with 16 TEAMS, it adds 4 extra matchdays.

30 League matches
+
13 CL matches
+
13 Cup matches
=
56 matches (the new 4 league matches will be played on the vacant days (1, 2, 20 and 28).

Now, to generate more action for other teams add a League/Regions Cup competition for the 8 MANAGERS placed from 5th to 12th, rewarding both those who stayed out of the CL and also the first 4 that didn't get promoted.

GAME C = 3rd of Group 1 VS 6th of Group 2
GAME D = 4th of Group 1 VS 5th of Group 2
GAME E = 1st of Group 2 VS 8th of Group 1
GAME F = 2nd of Group 2 VS 7th of Group 1
GAME G = 3rd of Group 2 VS 6th of Group 1
GAME H = 4th of Group 2 VS 5th of Group 1

Quarter-Finals:
GAME I = A VS H
GAME J = B VS G
GAME K = C VS F
GAME L = D VS E

Semi-Finals:

Does this mean at day 20 and 28 (no league or CL days) there are two matches in the League.

I like the idea, however I don't see the point of playing 7 group matches which do not matter much (these matches can be used to claim some negative achievements, since performing good in the group stage only results in a weaker opponent in the second round). Why not a tournament with many more teams, playing only one match each round (maybe with one or two group stages in it to generate more matches).
Maybe it would also be interesting to allow people ending third in a CL group to arrive in this new tournament (like in real CL/EL).

Does this mean that teams in the same league of year X will play against each other (and teams of a second league) in year X+1?

Still I voted yes, I like the general idea.

I am not bored if one of my teams does not make the CL, but in terms of balancing seasons who don't make it into CL constantly your idea is nice.

I appreciate your effort in detail designing a new tournament. I don't strongly object but still vote for 'no' because I don't want more matches even if my team rank below 4. I suggest managing extra teams if more matches are needed. I may support if any new short 1-3 day competition which are only held before day 3, or in a new season break day.

If you are in the Champions League you don't play this one and vice versa.

Thks for your reply too. I believe I fully understand. There will be no effect to top 4 clubs while the 5th-12th clubs will participate a new competition.

I will feel fine to participate your new competition. But I prefer to take the chance to rest more if my team will finish below 4th. I think managing 1 more team is more flexible method to play more matches, because you can give up 1 team if you do not have sufficient time. Currently I am managing 2 teams.

You're more pragmatic but most managers get bored. Other reasons...

If you don't make it into the Champions League, you save in red and green packs, but you'll miss prize money, skill points and growth overall.

Anyway, it could be optional, we could get a popup to be asked if we wished to take part or something. They got us a timer to take part in the black friday promotion they sure can do it for anything else.
