Giving up goals late in game

I have been giving up a lot of goals recently in minute 80 and after (5 in the last 5 games). I am aware of fatigue and always play well- rested players. I also always try and sub at least one of my defenders in the 2nd half to have one well-rested player out there in the final part of the game.

What else can I do to cut down on the chances of these late scores allowed?

Substituting defenders in the 2nd half is risky

I agree. I never sub unless a player is injured or the game is in the bag and never a defender unless the above applies. Not worth a defeat for the sake of 1 Green pack.

Thant's your prob, you sub your defender. It's crazy but it's true. Subbing a defender allows opponent time to attack you. Stupid logic, but tht seems to be the case.

You want to avoid conceding late goals? Just play 5 at the back, defensive. Adding a defender as oppose to a straight swap doesnt expose you to attacks.

Try subbing your striker so you can get a late goal instead.

    I experienced this just today..
I won the first leg 4:3 , after going 4:1 up in first half
But in second leg (Away) , i lost 3:2 , thanks to a 89th min. goal from a free kick
So now i will be out of the CL due to away goals and therefore can't reach the finals
    I HATE THIS !!!
