best time to renew/resign?

so is it best practice to save all the skill points through the whole season and only assign them on the first day? I am very curious if many people do this or do they constantly upgrade their players during the season. I assume that most players make enough money during the season to afford to resign the players no matter what, as long as they are responsible spenders.

First renew their contract to 3 yrs then and only after you`v renewed contract add the skill point`s saved and yes save the skill points, i save the skill points when they have 2 yrs on contract and once i renewed then i add skill
