    captain?

    Hi,

How important is the choice of a captain and what are the main parameters you consider before opting for one particular player ?
    Thank you !

The only thing that matters in this game is orange and red stars.

Yes - of course ... I see it every day... last season I win 3:0 against him... with a 5-star-team ...

Take your best player, your playmaker and your GK

I usually have a DMC or an MC as captain, and usually it's the guy that plays the most games.
And I have the GK(s) listed too in case my actual captain isn't playing.
Expressed above is my own opinion. Your results may vary.

I choose the player with the best form as captain. But I just alter the order occasionally. Not sure if there is any effect.

Normally the oldest\most experienced player in the first eleven is my capt'n and normally plays somewhere along the defence

I'm with ya on that; after following Terry as the captain that I've looked up to for my whole life; it seems weird to me to give the captain to a striker or attacking player. My CB is my first choice captain; with GK and then CM being the next two choices

Not sure the degree of effect of captaincy is to the match result, but I do observe a bad run when certain players are captain and good performances when another is handed the armband. I usually do guess work - trial and error. If the team is winning i stick to the captain.

I usually choose in this order - Best player (not highest quality), Age, Seasons with team.
    Go Leo L24 Farmer ---

    Very Athletic L20 (Semi-Retired) --- Real Messy L16 (Retired) --- Athletic Kuching L17 --- Los Galaxy L14 28T

I usually give it to my best player in terms of form and quality.. You may try older players too but I reckon it does not make any difference haha
