Horror Start

Going ok in the cup when I usually get knocked out in the first round but 2 defeats from 2 League games and a draw in my opening CL group game. Can't understand it as my players all getting 7 or 8 ratings with the odd 6. My strikers score for fun in friendlies but every shot getting blocked or skimming the crossbar in League and CL.
Anyone else got this situation ? I've been runner up last 2 seasons and also CL Finalist in both, unlucky to be pipped by a couple of superb teams. My tactics are the same and also the same team apart from a couple of new players added.
I know this is T11 after all and nothing is taken for granted as I'm level 16 with 11 League titles and not a mug, but the player rating thing is puzzling me. Maybe I've just been unlucky enough to be up against stronger teams from the start but the stats and stars are all similar. My team are making chances and apparently playing well but still losing. I can't rest bad performers because there aren't any.
Any suggestions ?

I won my first match, and have lost the next four, so my start is also horific

I have had a couple seasons where I just couldn't win. I have no advice as both of those seasons the team failed to promote. The season BvB failed to promote, my players got good ratings too.. but almost all of the other teams were better Q by a star or more.
I'm out of Cup already and two draws in League. Some seasons are just worse than others I think.

I went thru this for the last three seasons - lost 3-4 of first 5 league matches.

Luckily I finished second, champions and fourth respectively. I remember the struggle to get it right. It helped that some teams imploded. I dissected the issue and each time it was a personnel & formation. Either I had the wrong player playing in the formation or had the wrong formation for the player at my disposal. The first time I brought in 3 or so players (on top of the few that I had earlier bought), to fit into the formation I wanted to play. The second time, I tweaked my formation to suit the players. Last season, also had to tweak my formation (was up against a lot of 4-4-2s). Happy to say that I have been promoted for 20 consecutive seasons with this team.

Having said that, sometimes, no matter wht you do, you cant win to save your life.

Normally i`m a slow starter but a strong finisher but this season i`v had a good start winning my 1st six games

Knocked out of Cup.
Top of CL so far, 2 Games Played.
League is 1 Win to 1 Loss and Sitting 8th over all.

But my Team is just having issues scoring Goals.
Think it is time to work on rotation and Power Training.

The stats do seem to be a bit stranger than usual, win lose or draw. I'll maybe post a pic later but after an unexpected draw this morning where the opposition gained more shots on target, same FKs and more corners....with my GK making 5 saves.....I was surprised to see I had only 1 player rate under 7, a 6, and then 2x8s; while the opposition had 5 rating under 7 (a 4, 2x5, 2x6) and a single 8.

Yes I had much more possession but its hardly the answer if we don't do anything with it

While watching the match I felt lucky, after seeing the stats I felt like I Trolled a lower Q team

Our team this season is currently comparable to a David Moyes at Man Utd situation, very bleak.
