Average condition down after Stretching training is 3%, but it is actually between 2-4%... When condition goes down 2%, players gain less than average skill progress and when it goes down 4%, skill gain is above average... Same is with other two types of training... 4* player who can reach 20% of skill progress with normal Stretching training is considered fast trainer (16% if he is 5*)... Those who can not reach 20% (16%) after numerous Stretching trainings are token free slow trainers...
Agreed. I had a player who was actually pretty good (a 21yo LB at 5*) and would consistently get 7's and 8's. However, you can train him on practice match and you'd be lucky to get him in double figures (reflected by his roughly 200k price tag). I've sold him now as a result.

I'm not asking you to trust what the developers says about the game, I'm asking you to find out if this is true.Young players advance very quickly while older players advance slower. All players improve much faster if they participate in matches; therefore, we recommend that you rotate your starting lineup in order to give all of your players a chance to improve.
A token or non-token youth have different base training value yes, but there are other factors that affect it, lack of pitch time is one.
A non-token youth will surely gain more than 10% for stretching, only if he played enough matchs. Even a token youth train extremely slow if no match is played, there is definately a hidden factor present.
A player who never played train extremely slowly, and this is a repeatable, verifiable characteristic. It is a solid prove that the above quote is true.
If he playes or not he will still and always be a slow trainer

Actually that is too slow, he should reach at least 75 points in a season, otherwise he will become more and more useless than he already is.
Because he is a slow trainer, he will never be able to follow the team.
In my opinion waste of team and time. Sell at first oportunity

On the contrary, I always find non-token youth useful due to his stable high rating, he is reliable to use although he can't be used in every game, so I usually reserve him for important games.
I just sold my non-token youth who spawned from last season for 130m and 5 tokens on negotiation. Waste? I'd say selling him too early is a waste of an opportunity and a reliable sub instead.
