July Fourth Win The Champions League
In this final it became a nerve racking affair between July Fourth and Lech Poznan, July Fourth started off the stronger as expected and created many chances and it took 15 minutes for Papaleo to win the ball in a dangerous area and strike it past the keeper to give us the lead, We then added to the advantage by Phongkerd heading in from a Petrovic corner... Anyone that thought July Fourth were going to win the final comfortably were mistaken when Lewandowski scored just before HT to get Lech Poznan back in the final and they equalised 5 minutes from the restart when Tulis headed a corner in Peszko, But July Fourth were then fighting for the lead again, Silva had created many chances and a bit like Alexis Sanchez he was trying to do too much for the team, Veutro eventually got the ball on a half volley and striked it past the keeper to give July Fourth the lead back, But in the 80th minute Lech Poznan had one last opportunity to perhaps send this one into extra-time with Peszko having a shot poorly dealt with by Lennox and Vittalone had to clear it off the line, The next few attacks in the match were from July Fourth with Silva and Gutierrez having efforts blocked on goal, Possibly us trying to run down the clock and eventually we were able to hear the final whistle from the referee to give us our 25th Champions League title.
It's been 10 seasons and 280 days since we last saw these words in the forum...
July Fourth Have Won The TREBLE!!!

Yes folks, It's REALLY been that long... BUT we have done it again!!!
Olympique Rouen finally break through, Win 1st Champions League title
It was a dramatic, tense affair that included a 2nd min goal, an 88th min goal, each GK saving an on target free kick in dramatic fashion, a gut wrenching leg break, and a severe ankle strain.
The game was less than 90 seconds on when AM Mauro Ezen opened up the scoring on a quick counter. It was a sweet moment for Ezen who had been in somewhat of a funk without a goal or assist in his last 8 matches coming into the final. But the day would turn ugly for the prolific Brazilian as a clear foul from Italian CM Antonio Moretto on the planted leg of Ezen saw the leg snap in half. He was carted off the field to a standing ovation a few mins later.
The ensuing free kick was whipped into the box by CM Segreste and found the head of Rouen's homegrown sensation Omar Cardenas for his career best 26th goal of the season making the score 2-0.
The 2nd half began with S Leon coming out with a 3 ST formation and pushing hard, the tactic paid off 5 mins into the 2nd half when Suheri Safri scored a sensational goal to get his club back into the match at 2-1 down.
Rouen settled things down a bit with their own adjustments and their defense clamped down hard on every attack by the underdogs while the possession advantage dwindled from the 67% in the first half to under 60% when the game ended.
In the 68th min S Leon CB Billy Boyack committed a reckless foul and for the 2nd time in the game a Rouen player had to be carted off the field. This time the blow came to the teams captain and all time leading scorer Mikkel Sorensen, who tests later revealed suffered a ankle strain.
The continued brutal assault by the underdogs did not go unnoticed by OR and the team was galvanized by their stars injury. They spent the remaining 20+ mins in all out attack mode firing shot after shot and keeping their opponents pinned in their own half. Rouen finally got the end product they so deserved in the 88th min as Cardenas unselfishly pulled back and made a beautiful pass to Sebastian Rocha who easily buried it in the back of the net to become the 4th player this season to score at least 25 goals in all competitions for Les coqs gaulois.
In what seemed like an instant the final whistle had blown and the confetti began falling as the players and staff all poured onto the field to celebrate their first ever Champions League title. Both injured players were able to come back onto the field for the ceremony although Mauro Ezen was clearly in pain as he was wheeled up the ramp to join his teammates. Mikkel Sorensen set aside his crutches momentarily to lift the trophy over his head first before passing it on for the rest of the lads to get in on the celebration.
While the club had been very successful in their first 3 seasons there have been some critics who were not shy to point to the teams recent exits before the quarterfinals of the T11 cup and the two CL finals failures as signs that the manager could not win against squads of equal or greater caliber to his own side. They also pointed out that while the club won the league again they failed to win in either match against the 2nd place side who were the only other club with enough quality to challenge Rouen this season and did so earning a 2-2 road draw early on and then became the first team in over 2 years to beat Rouen in league play in a 4-2 beating that also was the most goals conceded against any opponent during that stretch.
This result, while a moment of joy for the club and their supporters will do little to stem the critics. This game was ugly and was up for grabs until the 88th min goal. The clubs two star strikers were both shut down and it was due to the prowess of the other attacking players that the club scored at all. Each of the 3 attacking mids who started the game scored a goal and it was a brilliantly placed free kick into the box from CM Christian Segreste that allowed Cardenas to score what would be the game winner after Ezen had his leg broken in the first half.
The club president and manager David Grizzle had this to say, "It isn't an accident that those four guys came up big for us. They have been doing it all year. We have had six players all year who are a threat to score in any game and when one or two have an off day the others pick up the slack. The four midfield players have combined for something like 96 goals this season between them, I don't see how this can be seen as anything but a strength for the club."
Tiny update my end.
Rhondda Rovers win 7-0 away to Jerez Industrial and I forgot to watch the match. Tomorrow sees us at home to the only team to score and beat me in the League, the Jack Twats.

Worryingly, despite the weak opposition, my midfield was terrible bar one player (one 6, one 5 and my MR even had a 4). I was eyeing up at least one ML and one MR anyway, but am tempted to look for two MR's if possible as my main one at present is very inconsistent.
Clinched the double today.
League: Clinched first place on the backs of a 10:0 victory. 2nd place team, Ordu52 whom sent me a friend request (I accepted) a couple weeks back. Although entering the game 6 points back and with us facing the last place squad, KAN GUCU, he still showed up to support my opponent. Strangely, the only two times he supported my opponent was when we faced this cellar dwelling KAN GUCU team, so I don't know what he was thinking.
Champions: Won 1:0, with a Wesley Sneijder goal just before halftime. It was only our 3rd clean-sheet of the tournament, but it couldn't have come in a bigger situation. Oh, and my goalkeeper got another "5" rating, despite 3 saves and the clean sheet.
Next up: Attempt for park the bus achievement. Then, decision time about whether or not to start releasing/selling players to get a better cup draw.
AEPRE FC won the league title in style
AEPRE FC won their 2nd league title, an undefeated league title, as well as the manager, who comes out 1st for the first time aganist a strong full scout team, and his 3rd double in any of his teams. With a 3-1 victory home aganist Real Madrid, which the final game of the season will be scheduled at 11:11 if they are played at home.
This is probably the last game of their AEPRE FC career for Markus van Zwolle, if he is not going to sit as a reserve keeper, as well as Frederick Aboagye, and possibly Cyril Abouret, who could not made it to 6* in time.
In the first half, AEPRE FC and Real Madrid also had an even amount of opportunities to score, but AEPRE FC comes out with a 1-0 advantage at half-time on the very last minute, when Real Madrid's DMC Cristian Venegas blocked Pavel Sochocki's attempt, it deflected behind, and a corner awarded. Shaun Hughes opens the kick to Alfie Deyes, who put the team in the lead.
In the 74' Oscar runs through the defense with just only one remaining, and of course, the keeper Kevin Main. His shot were blocked by Main but still deflected behind. The 2nd goal comes from this corner in a carbon-copied fashion to the first goal.
Frederic Soumare replaces Hughes in the 85', which immediately, Real Madrid finally breaks through, when Manrique Ugarte dashed through the defense, and scores.
The goal difference in this match were restored to 2 goals when Joscef Bajnok capitalized Real's AMC David Webb's mistake by counter-attacking on the flank, crossed the ball to Oscar, who is in front of the goal, and scores the final goal of the season.
AEPRE FC will then play WePe FC in the traditional end-of-season friendly at 18:30.

AEPRE FC-Real Madrid-WePe FC League Table
This is definitely a league of three teams, where everything is very tight. You can't just afford to drop a single point aganist other teams.
AEPRE FC has done well not to drop points aganist other teams, to win the league title with a 6 points margin. Real Madrid dropped points twice aganist 5th placed Afirey Arrow FC, a 2-2 away draw in the first leg, and a 0-1 defeat in the second.
WePe FC were defeated by their sister team WP Jr 3-4 at home two games earlier as well as a 2-2 draw aganist AFCFC (R22).
WePe FC will complete their season with a walkover win aganist 2nd from last Torpedo Darnay at home at 17:36.

Concluding this season
After playing this game for about 1.5 years, in this season I could not ensure that I would manage at least daily. At the same time, both my teams were grouped into two of the most challenging leagues I ever played. These leagues are even the most interesting because almost all teams are active and are very similar in average qualities. In the past, the most challenging leagues I participated were mixed level leagues and my team faced clearly stronger and higher league level teams in league.
In last 2 or 3 days of this season, my teams is in borderline out of the top 7. I also know that I will have even less time in next season to manage. I consider to actively try to keep the team in same level. But at last I still decide to do my best to fight for promotion.
L21 Team
The roster of the team was often not very intact during this season. It had great difficulty in signing new players. But my team was young (probably the youngest in this league). So many players developed quite quickly. In addition, some weak players are slowly gradually replaced during the season. At season end, it developed to a mid-5* team.
My team struggled all season and placed from 5th to 11th. As I estimate, about three forth of the league team has similar average qualities with my team but have a clearly stronger starting lineup. In the final league match which just completed, my team has a good win. It finally secure promotion before all league matches completed.
My team had a good run in CL this season. It finished in Top 4 after suffering 2 big losses in semi-final. I feel regret that I could not attend both semi-final matches, and even could not manage the team in those 3 days. I could only check the roster of opposite team after the match finished and noticed that it was a very strong team. Considering the aforesaid disadvantages and both semi-final matches were included into 3-hour-apart consecutive matches, I still accept the losses and satisfy with the overall result.

L13 Team
The team is involved in a even more challenging league. Except the leading and trailing teams, I would say all teams are competitive This can be clearly reflected in the league table. Honestly, my team’s performance is disappointing in almost whole season. I loved my team as it is the youngest (age 19.3) and deepest (full roster) in this league . It has slight advantages in average quality comparing with most teams. But it was below the 7th place after about Day 9. The team's performance is bad but the worst problem is inconsistent. I feel hard to find players to rely on and so as to stabilize team performance. However, the strengths of most team are still close. My team is still not far from even 2nd placed team in all season. In final few matches, my team is effectively racing with about 7 to 9 teams for final 4 to 6 places in Top 7. In last league match, my team defeated the leading team which has outstanding performance among all teams in this season. I am happy that my team proved its strength. Now top 7 is also secured.

What did I learn in this season?
I did not pay as much time, but learned much in this season. I still need time to digest and conclude all. Generally, as opposite to some managers think, my brief on the relationship of support of the managers and friends during a match is strengthened. When my teams badly performed, my supporters also decreased quite a lot. On the other hand, now I understand that one of the major reasons that my teams could keep among the top teams in previous leagues is that most of the opponent managers were less active than me.
Daaahhhh...!

Dramatic end, in penalties

My Brazilian team against a Mexican manager and most of his team :)
Had the domination but every attack was crushing on his excellent DC Rafa Marquez or the GK Ochoa
The match went in penalties but I wasn't so anxious as a previous final I had few seasons ago.
Yesterday, I had a troll game in my league so I wasn't afraid of this (never happened to me two trolls in a row).
The only threat was his GK, Ochoa, a "penalty specialist". But mine, with "one to one" did better :o
His sub Chicharito Hernandez and Benzema missed and I got the cup :D
* I wonder, if a good GK, "penalty specialist" cannot save not one shot, what a hell this sa is about
Also won the Cup this season (out of nowhere) , so we're waiting tomorrow for another treble

Final League Table
We won by 10 points in the end, but we had to wait until the 2nd last day of the league season to clinch it mathematically and never held a big lead over our rivals being around 4 points infront for the majority of this season.
Cim Bom Bom SK enters the hall of shame for not scoring a goal this season.

1st title for 3 years and what an exciting end, 83rd minute equaliser gets me a draw and the championship.

Dominating 3rd level with 26-0-0!!!
My last game was (in away) with a full "seems like" abandoned (lot of unspent money, crap team, crap position in league) team. I missed almost 1st half. My oppo was there. :O I dont know he was curious or/and he was gonna troll against my perfect stats :) until 67th minute the result was a tight draw... after my badass strikers scored 2 goals... :)

In most assists category: The guy who doesnt fit on page, he is my fav MC (Baal) :o but he is the 2nd badass most rated guy meh :o
aaand i sold my "old" badass AMC, who had more goals than my 3rd place rival... and he had avg rating like my 2nd best ST... never mind...
conclusion: leauge was pretty easy, RNG was a bi*tch at CL and CUP... (3rd, 2nd places)
better luck next season!
and thank you guys for tips and tricks that i have learned here!

We finish 10 points clear in the end and beat rivals twice and everything clicked when we changed formation and one every match there after
15 injuries this season compared to 16 last season so fairly similar
League round 26:
before the matche, we have 19+ Gd better than the #2 so i decided to archive Park the bus archivement even #6 isn't an easy opponent, but the result make me think that we don't need a striker for next season. we are the only team win them more than 3-0 (#2 , #3 and #4 have the same starting 11 Q with us)

Just one game to go in the league, which is already won by me, so I'm focusing on next season already.
All my players are mid 6 star now, so will be mid 5 tomorrow. I did contemplate doing a clear out and going for high 5's tomorrow but instead have decided to keep the current team and go with a mid 5 star team from next season, saving my tokens and cash for the following season, allowing me to bring in new players if I need them next season (which I really doubt I will need)
My team is currently more than good enough for me to not need to invest in it further next season. I may bring in another keeper if one that is just shy of 6 star comes up, but I'm not that fussed about searching for one just for the sake of it.
http://i1178.photobucket.com/albums/...d/02052015.png
Bonus from this season is that due to the cap on cash now being removed I've been able to grow my in game cash and I now sit with over 4B in my account. My aim will be to end next season with at least 5B cash. From farming over night I have also just broken the 14,000 mark for tokens too. My current pile is now at 14,020 - so should I decide to bring any players in tomorrow I'm going to try and do it that I don't go under 14,000 tokens.
1 hour to go for the last (and inportend) game against the nr2.
I am 1 with 75 points(+121) ,my oponent only lost against me he is on 72 with + 124 ,i won the CL against him with 3-2 .

Mini update on my end.
Rhondda Rovers just finished their last match of the season at home to Jack Twats. After getting Nord trolled in the away fixture, I wanted to finish the season on a high. Thankfully, we got it and proved that our only league loss was indeed a pure fluke.

And so our table for season was as follows:

With the new season beginning tomorrow, we are hoping to have some early success in the transfer market. Thankfully, I feel one ML, an MR (maybe two after yesterday) and an ST should do for the season, though I won't say no if a good defender appears.
I'm 9th LOL

League: Had to wait a long time to see this one out but 3-1 v 4th gave us the league title. Jack Harper opened the scoring with his 30th of the Season, James Morrison found Liam Henderson's head with a FK for the second and Right Back Alan Hutton stormed down the flanks and cut inside to rifle it home and make it 3 on the 57th minute. The opposition gained a consolation goal on the 77th min mark. Lord Nordeus ran on the pitch 3 mins from time to kick James Morrison in the sack and put him out for 3 days with a retractile testicle.
2nd won too so it was 2pts difference.
DL/DC Steve Nicol marked his 278th game for the Club with a 9 and the Bubbly - we've been quite impressed that he has maintained a 7.50 average rating having played 48 matches this season. Only GK Andy Goram has played more (50).
33 yo left winger John Robertson will retire. Reserve DMC Mark Wilson was sold and MC Fernando Ricksen took early retirement due to ill health (sounds better than sacked ;) ).
Only 4 other league friends will promote with 4 dropping out. Unfortunately although the teams that defeated us in the Cup and CL accepted our friends request the other 2 finalists did not. We did however add 2 more 6* ave friends so things should be competitive again - we might even have bitten off more than we can chew if everyone is drawn together in the league. >.<
I just came back 2 days ago, not sure if I'm really back or just playing for a few days and leaving again.
Anyway, during the 3 matches I managed my team in, I raised from 6th to 4th (W-L-W). Unfortunately, most of my players are 4 stars and will be 3 stars next season, so I'll have to buy so many new players with a sad budget of 23m(+7m from league bonus=~30m).
Will see how my luck goes in league level 6, wish me luck! :D
League: Parked the bus (4-1-2n-3w) and won 2:0...
AEPRE FC Player of the Season for this season goes to Shaun Hughes, Joscef Bajnok in 2nd place, and Pavel Sochocki in 3rd
Thread closed, new day started now :P
