Whoops, just realized it. Well my plan is going to have a back-up back-up striker in case my three strikers got injured...perhaps I'll just buy a new, younger one next season.

another close and exciting league
CL comming later, should be good news, but who knows:rolleyes:
League: The Buffs cruise to a 4-0 away win against 12th but it was rather uninspiring.
The Buffs went in at HT with 1 goal to show for their efforts, a goal from Dalglish assisted by Harper. At HT strikers Dalglish and Harper switched sides. In the second half Dalglish got his second and Harper added 2.
Another injury today with DC/DR Alan Hutton out for 2 days.
Shocking performance by DL/DC Andy Robertson who let the side down with a 6. :(
GK Andy Goram is rumoured to be in the running to appear in the next Strictly Come Dancing with another Se-ven!
So no change at the top. With all 3 top teams winning the Buffs lead remains 4 pts.
Commentary
The Broadcasters' commentary Team had a busy day today with every Buffs' player spoken about and, on the opposition side, only the GK Mustera failed to get a mention directly. Although maybe they just forgot his name when they said "The Goalkeeper had no chance".
PS. From an initial pass over a range of commentaries it looks like many more players get mentions than sticks in my mind. ;)
Just taken a peek on our Champions League semi final opponents. To quote Top Gear's James May - "Oh cock."

It's Arezzo FC all over again :v
To make things "interesting" I'm the weakest team among the final four - an underdog between the giants indeed!
*reaches for clean underwear*
You can do it :D
CL: Buffs FC win 2-0 in the CL 2nd leg to progress 2-1 on aggregate but boy did Lord Nordeus make them sweat.
2-0 up after 16 minutes, courtesy of Harper and Robertson (Harper), and Buffs Mad was ready to open the cans. Further chances came......and went. The Buffs pressed and chased and carve out openings but 1 goal for the opposition would see them through. "Just Wide", "Shakes...Netting", "Magnificent Save", "Hits the wall" "Skims the bar", "Charged Down....the 3rd wouldn't come.....feck feck feck.
Then as the 85th minute ticked over suddenly the possession and threat were gone and came the FK against, CK against, "clean through"....but they survived. :D

Pictures just aint all that.:p
Yes we made it. after the first surpricing 5-1 home victory odds were good, although opponent was way better.

Attachment 43547
After the first goal I felt pretty convinced I would make it. although I could se he had bought several Scout players and powertrained them. This of course made me feel even better. And there must be a very bitter manager out there.
The rest in CL are all level 30 and way better than my little team. So winning is very unlikely, like this advange
1-1 against the leader, without attend and he had 7 supporter that 3 were multi accounts, I had 3 supporters so +11 for him, Kluivert injuried in the 83' after score in the 56' thank's to a Rozomashvili's assistance. The 2nd lost so, the league is sure for him coz have 51 points the 2nd 46 and the 3rd 41,,, then 40 and 39 LOL
I think you can win. The gap isn't too bad. :)
Anyway, update on my end and Rhondda Rovers played Acre Street in the second leg of the Champions League quarter finals following a 2-2 away in the first leg. A low draw or a win would see us through. Unfortunately, we conceded an early goal and, despite pushing and attacking as much as possible (even going three up top in a 3-4-3 formation), we could not get the equaliser and lost 1-0, meaning our triple crown attempt is now over. :(
Attachment 43635
In the League, the reserves put pride back into the team by hammering FC Utd 7-0 in their back yard. Unfortunately, the manager was unable to properly attend due to a knackered car. I also forgot to get a screenshot.
This leaves us with a 12 point gap and 3 wins from 7 should seal it.
League: Won 4:1, hold 1st place on goal differential tie-breaker.
Champions: Advanced to Semi-finals, behind a 7:0 win (14:1 aggregate)! Ironically, I used hard defending and long passing for the entirety of both legs. Hard defended our way to 14 goals in the CL QF's, LOL. Seems kind of unrealistic to me!!!
Cup: Semi-finals begin tomorrow.
AEPRE FC - Important Autopilot Announcement
Due to the upcoming exams from May 5 to 21, 2015. AEPRE FC, as well as several other teams I'm managing, will enters a period of autopilot for a total of 18 season days.
That means there will be no forum posts of any kind during these periods. I might be able to watch a few matches, as I'm studying for my exams.
Because of this, transfer activities may not happen during the early part of the upcoming season.
After the exam on May 21, AEPRE FC will resumes their normal competitive pace.
Daddy is not angry, just disappointed very disappointed :(
Attachment 43648
League: A 1-1 draw away to one of our closest competitors for the title ensures that we stay clear off 2nd place by four points, with Ali-al Saachez's opener cancelled by Bojan Prolic's free kick. Rather disappointed since we created a number of chances, but then again the home side has only lost ONCE at home throughout the season.
Attachment 43644
GK sector needs some patching though...my usual GK got a 4. That's right. A freaking 4.
Next up for us is a home game against Vega boon boonFC!
Cup: Today Buffs Mad started with a knee-trembler.
Then he went to the match.
They were to quiver again. ;)
EDIT: For the TL;DR crowd....here ;)
http://i61.tinypic.com/xdco4m.jpg
For those that will read here's the proof I used 'poetic licence' to link the Robertsons' combo from 2 unrelated events. :o:p
http://i58.tinypic.com/2ezlria.jpg
Now the Boring bit ;)
Tiger Crossa FC came out of the blocks quickly but the Buffs withstood and began pushing after 10 mins. Striker Harper was gettng chances but couldn't take them. A flurry of activity just before HT by the opposition pushed the Buffs back but Goram's goal wasn't really threatened. Buffs Mad elected not to change Harper yet, "Give him time." Tiger Crossa FC started the second half the way they finished the first - from the Buffs restart Tiger C had 2 decent attacks but it was the long clearance from the second that set up the gut wrenching away goal. The counter-attack was launched and the opposition 1on1 striker split the Buffs defence in 2. So 1on1 striker v 1on1 Stopper GKand......and.....and he passed and it was coolly slotted home by the fast approaching MC.
The Buffs huffed and puffed but struggled to bring home the bacon. After another couple of failed attempts by Harper his time was up on 68 mins as Dalglish came on. (Harper rated 7 later, but can't be faulted for effort :( )
It was end to end stuff from that point with the Buffs creating more decent chances, 5 to 3.
As the clocked ticked towards the 85th minute Buffs Mad was looking at needing a good away win to progress. On 87th minute DL Andy Robertson started the move with an interception and took it forward before finding left winger and namesake John Robertson (those 2 make the Commentary difficult). Robertson cut inside and unleashed the shot - which was blocked out for a CK. He raced for the ball and drove in the cross. If the Buffs eventually get through this tie then DC Nicol will remember his 258th Buffs' match as he rose and bulleted the header that tied things up. 1-1. Unfortunately in the 1 further chance his defensive partner Alan Hansen could not make the same impact - as Dalglish bore down on the visting defence, he slipped it to Alan "I'll get a nose-bleed up here" Hansen....but he screwed it wide. *phweeep*
Next time.
Steady the Buffs!
Little update my end.
First match of the day saw Rhondda Rovers play the first leg of the Cup at home to Urgulu in the morning, but I was unable to attend the first half due to other issues. However, I was able to show a presence and, in the end, we had a strong 2-0 win to take back to their place.
Attachment 43674
In the League, the reserves plus Chikin ran out very convincing 6-0 winners, the match pretty much over in the 14th minute after a quickfire 5 minute period saw us 3-0 up. Chikin was deservedly man of the match with 4 of the goals, with 3 of them coming via free kicks.
Attachment 43675
The dirty twats had about 3-4 yellow cards, of which one was sent off with a straight red for spitting and another was very lucky to still be on the pitch after two other late tackles after the initial booking.
With this victory, the gap increase to 14 points with 6 get remaining. If I win and other results go my way, the League is mine again.
On one final note, the youth setup has been upgraded and now work has begun on the stadium to increase the capacity to 7,000.
Can July Fourth Win The Treble Again?
For the first time in several seasons and since the server reshuffle July Fourth are now with a great chance to win the treble, We have considerably strengthened our team as we head towards the most important matches and weighing up the threats to us in this latest treble attempt.
League
Our form since mid season hasn't been that great until the last 2 matches with 4-0 & 5-0 wins respectively for us to still hold a 4 point advantage over now Ramsay Cabs who have been the form team recently, We play them at home in the penultimate league match of the season but hopefully we can get good results between then to make the match less important towards the outcome of the title. Blue Eyes are still outsiders being 6 points behind us and Janderinho have fallen out of contention.
A Strong finish from July Fourth this season should win us the title.
Champions League
July Fourth have made it through to the Semi-Finals without too much trouble this season and we are expected to beat our Semi-Final opponents PAOKARA who are mainly a 5* team, However should we progress we are expected to face Boca Juniors or our fellow qualifiers from our group KKS Lech Poznan, When we played KSS Lech Poznan earlier this season we won away but lost at home but we have strengthened since then. If we were to face Boca Juniors then we will have a very tough final as most of their players are 7* players.
Cup
July Fourth have also battled through many tough rounds to reach the Semi-Final stage of the competition this season and are the favourites to win the competition after Chelsea were eliminated in the Quarters. We face Cotanakspor who are mainly a 6* strength average team and if we play very well in the first leg at home we should get the job done. We could face either FK RENA or GALATASARAY in the final should we get there and both of those teams are a little stronger than Cotanakspor.
Verdict and Current Odds
Now that July Fourth have strengthened our team to most players being at 8* average for the remainder of the season, If we can couple this with a strong finish in all 3 competitions then there is no reason why we can't lift all 3 trophies come the end of the season, But we don't know that much about our opponents and also whether "Troll Mourinho" can strike at anytime too. Plus also I have real life duties with work so some matches I will not be able to watch depending on kick off times. We estimate our current chances of winning the treble is around odds of 13/8.
July Fourth as we know have a rich history of winning the treble in the past but have not done so for some time. Can we win it again this season now we have a great chance?
League: Its a poor day on home turf for the Buffs. Following the draw in the Cup, they slip again with a loss to 6th, 2-1.
They're at home again tomorrow for the CL.
Ofc its not entirely shocking since the away match in Round 7 was a 0-0. What is shocking however is Buffs' Goalkeeper Andy Goram rated 5 - only the second current Buffs player to do that this season and only his third rating below 7. :(
Goram "didn't even see" the first goal and wasn't mentioned at the second. Of the 2 saves he made one was "a parry rather than a save" and gave away a CK. His only other mention was not a save - a "diving interception" - so god knows what else he got up to.
But, who cares >.< 2nd lost and we now lead two teams by 4 pts and play the first of them tomorrow.
Btw, another injury sees the light injury period of the last 2 seasons slip from the memory - 12 injuries in the last 9 days, including 2 broken legs and a broken foot.
Steady the Buffs? *whimpers*
suggestion of a diet with more milk
Attachment 43682
no commet:: except both 7 star players
Poor day here as our triple crown hopes are basically over, following a 4:1 loss at home in the cup. I used a 3w-5-2 V style against opponents 3w-1-4-1-1. I began on normal mentality, but changed to an attacking mentality when we were down 2:1 in the second half. From there we conceded twice more.
So once again, my team performed at its best, when not using an attacking approach. Never really thought the triple crown was a possibility this season, so 3rd is better than I had expected at seasons beginning...
League saw us remain atop the league on goal differential on the backs of a 10:0 win...
could it be any tighter and i still have to play 2nd 3rd 5th and 6th so easy run in ;) while 2nd only have 6th to play in last 6 games rest are lower end of table
Attachment 43683
but i do have 3 of the top 5 scorer`s let`s hope they don`t dry up
Attachment 43686
First leg in semi final Cup today. My opponent start very aggressive, with a 100% efficiency but later the match was more balance
- even if I made a wrong sub.
Comments weren't very helpful, I thought that my central DC was guilty for the two conceded goals (he got rate 7) but when I saw the rates after the game, guilty was my DMC who got a 6 :p
Finally, my 3 goals came from my 2 MC, something that I don't remember ever happened before :)
Second match, open for any result .
Attachment 43687

League: We had our work cut out for us as we barely avoided a troll result against abandoned Vega boon boonFC. Going down first to a goal by Erik Milak, we responded well three minutes before HT thanks to a teamwork between Namfah Yui-lue and Shizuha Doi, before punishing the opposition in the 2nd half with three goals from Jesus Yamato, Karin Kikuhara, and Captain Lee Noriega, giving us an emphatic 4-1 win.
Attachment 43695
Despite the win, I'm really annoyed at Vega boon boonFC's Borja Diaz, who injured MC Le Huu Hoang Anh and my star AMR/MR, Jesus Yamato, and he got away with it. No booking at all for that son of a ****er! Hoang Anh is out for 5 days, adding more to my MC crisis, while thankfully Jesus is out for 3 days...but he will miss tonight's important CL semi-final 1st leg against Crazy Rider FC.
Attachment 43696

Nordeus laughs at our pain and drinks our tears.
Attachment 43698
The man who could have single-handedly ruined my season.
PS: my opponent tonight will play the same formation as in my picture, a 3-2-3-2. Thinking of mirrorring it but in a much more defensive stance.
PPS: match will be on 4.42 am Japan Standard Time. Nordeus sure has a peculiar way of scheduling matches
1. Finally out of champions league. lost 2-0 away and win 3-1 home. We have too much luck this season to blame something other than myself. we hope for the treble in other season.
2. Win Away 4-1 1st leg the Cup but ... still scare about troll
3 league : now 57 pt, so 4 pt better than 2nd but got 3 difficult matches. So i need at least 5 pt to claim the title
CL: The Buffs feel unloved atm and a curse has descended on Abbey Park as their sudden poor home form continues. A 4-3 loss at home in the first leg.
Statistically the Buffs deserved more from the match but the only real difference between the teams was the opposition's 3 goals from CKs - that soon-to-be 7* Either-footed CK specialist deserves a raise. O.o
PS. Another injury to the ever-present DL/DC Steve Nicol - the last 10 days has been a nightmare, when was the update?:p
It is getting very tight again, and I so need that fourth place
Attachment 43717
I would very much like to have some sort of error margin, just so I at least can breathe
Even topscorers are tight
Attachment 43719
CL day and another level higher and much stronger opponent.
all match it looked bad, but at the end United pulled out with a surpricing away win. its still going to be next to imposible, but I bet I put the sweat on my opponent-manager :o
Attachment 43745Attachment 43746Attachment 43747
as you can see, I made the right dessision subbing my topscorer.
FC United fans are thrilled
PS: I forgot to say De Sousa was suitcased back from injury 10 minutes before match from a 4 day injury, and became man of the match, I guess thats food for thought:rolleyes:
PPS. what just saw his defender got a 9, didn't now that was possible:rolleyes:
With my B team i nearly missed out in group stages but got 2nd thanks to a 6-5 scoreline over the 2 games against the team in 3rd and now i`m on verge of another champions league final after a 3-0 1st leg away win
Attachment 43744
while in the league hanging onto lead BUT i have 2nd 3rd and 4th in my last 3 games ( easy ) lol
Attachment 43750
Tiny update my end.
As there was only one game today, the main Rhondda Rovers team played away to Fire Eagles in the League. Though I forgot to watch the match, we pulled off a 2-0 win thanks to two late goals.
Attachment 43749
With this win and other results going our way, I can confirm that Rhondda Rovers are the League champions with a 16 point gap and 5 games remaining.
League: Maintain atop on goal differential, after winning 5:0 against an abandoned team.
Champions: Won 2:1 at home. It was a good win against a solid team, starting 10 scouts. It was a very conservative game-plan from us, using 4-5-1 V with hard defending + long passing, against opponents, 4-1-4-1. Usually, I'd play more offensively against that defensive bunker, but my team just hasn't got the job done with an attacking style this season.
Cup: Following yesterday's 4:1 home loss, we're most likely done.... Stranger things have happened though...
League: 4 points up after losing 1-0 away on a 3 match day to the 3rd placed team. They went full bonus 2 my 0. 1st all but locked up.
Champions:

Y no love Nik? If that is you....
Cup: Lost 2-0 1st leg away. Did not attend match due 2 hangover.
I think July Fourth are in the CL Final, We won our first leg 6-0 with both Delvalle & Papaleo hitting a hat-trick each.
Boca Juniors won 4-2 at home.
In the Cup we go into the second leg away holding a 3-1 advantage.
Champions League: No surprises here ladies and gentlemen. Even though we managed to hold Crazy Rider FC at their own fortress at bay for the most of the match, a 90th minute goal gave the victory to the home side. A slim advantage, but we'll see if my men can turn this around (apparently mirroring the opponent's formation worked like a charm, the opposition only won because the manager was there and my GK got a 3. A freaking 3.)
Attachment 43759
Dunno why but even in full morale and condition, both of my GKs are performing poorly. Should I buy a THIRD GK for my team?
Next up is a league match away to BINTANG FC, who, thanks to the manager's sudden decision to came back, just came back from a major shopping spree and emerged as the league's second strongest team. Won't be watching the match though due to classes.
qualified to Cup Final, the 1st time from 12 season. I won't miss it out
League : still in top 4 pt better than 2nd but the last 3 games will decide the season
Today United had a good result in the league

tomorrow will be a semi-hard game for CL final too! playing home from 0-1 :)
and my league is easy i won it already :) 22-0-0
Catch-up
The Buffs feel like a ruderless ship atm with the supporters' groups holding Sack the Board and Sack the Manager protests.
League (yesterday): The tie against 2nd represented an immediate opportunity to stop the rot. It was a tense tight affair with the home side going ahead in 2 mins but the Buffs came back for a 1-1 draw. The opposition slip to 3rd and remain 4pts behind but the Buffs lead is now cut to 2pts to 2nd. Buffs Mad was not that impressed. :(
League: Buffs FC welcome 8th to the crumbling fortress of Abbey Park. Should've been a routine win and it was - 4-0. Still 2pts ahead of 2nd but 3rd draw again and fall to 6pts behind. 2nd and 3rd meet in 2 days time. No more than expected.
****ty Cup:mad:, the god-damned crappy Cup:mad:: In the words of Rolf Harris "Can you tell what it is yet?" >.<
The Buffs crash out of the Cup, again, with a 1-0 loss away. The Buffs created chances, again, as in the first leg (1-1) but just couldn't convert them. The only goal of the match came courtesy of a counterattack on 90 mins - as the Buffs pressed harder, desperate for that elusive goal. But it was not that concession that hurt but the lack of a finish before then. Although the Buffs offered more threat again his GK and DC 'last line' proved up to the task.
PS. I had ignored his friends request until now but accepted it after the match.
Next time? Grrrrr. ;)
Now in the CL tomorrow we have to win by 2 or more clear goals - and confidence has sapped from the management team. :(
League: Bali United ZAFT and conceding late goals, still a better love story than Twilight :p
Yet another 90th minute goal denied us victory, this time in the league away to BINTANG FC. Dede Mahelli's late goal canceled out two goals from Lord Bendtner and Karin Kikuhara, forcing us to leave the promotion chasers' home ground with only one point. Fabian Delano Kurnia the man to blame for the draw as he got another 4 in the ratings.
Attachment 43784
Victory for 2nd placed Imron FC means that we are only separated by ONE point in the standings, a fragile position indeed. Luckily for us we have a stretch of 3 easy ties ahead of us, facing a bot team and two abandoned ones. Imron FC got themselves a slightly more difficult stretch ahead of them - after taking on abandoned merangin fc and bot team M150 FC, they will face Champions League chasers Dortmund. If we and Imron FC gained 9 points from those 3 matches, the title will be decided on the final day as we play Imron FC away.
The board of directors held an emergency meeting earlier today, considering that both Aishwarya Kansakar and Fabian Delano Kurnia has been disappointing when given their chances, it has been decided that Bali United ZAFT will have to buy a 3rd GK, hopefully to replace Kansakar as he will be 31 next season.
Attachment 43787
Pinoy goalie Cagalli Yula Athha will wear the no. 71 jersey for this season with hopes that he will take over no. 1 next season, and at 20 years of age he's still got a long way ahead of him. With both Kansakar and Delano Kurnia coughing up 5s, 4s, and 3s in the ratings, it's up to Yula Athha to safeguard our goal in the next set of matches. Tomorrow we will travel to Thailand to take on Man Red (a bot team) away, and Yula Athha is expected to make his debut underneath the posts.
Played today my 2nd leg away. Yes, my third final for the Cup :)
Attachment 43785
The league is over and there is only one question. Will I get the 26-0-0 :p
Attachment 43786
knock on wood, no troll results at the moment, for this season
Cup: Eliminated today, following a 3:1 loss (7:2 aggregate). Goalkeeper was just plain bad, getting a 5. Getting a 3rd place trophy for the case isn't to shaby a consolation prize though.
League: Won 4:2 against 4th. Leaves us with only one difficult game left, against the team tied for 1st with us. Since we half the goal differential tie-breaker and softer remaining schedule (by far), a draw should be enough to secure 1st place.
Champions: hold a 2:1 advantage going into away leg. It's far from secure since opponent starts 10 scouts and both my 7* and 6* goalies can't be trusted to earn better than a "5" match rating. My wingers and strikers have been playing great though, as we've scored in all matches so far this season. I'm going to need them to continue to come up big tomorrow, since Its pretty much a guarantee that we'll suffer another goal keeping gaffe!!!
A little catch up for Olympique Rouen.
Going into round 22 of the league OR is 7 points clear atop the league with a record of 19-1-1. Clinching their 3rd league title in 4 years is almost assured having lost only one league game in the past 2 seasons.
More critical is the teams chase of it's first Champions League title and a 3rd straight finals appearance. The first leg of the all French tie finished 3-3 on the road against the underdog opponent. Going home with 3 road goals is not a bad proposition. While OR works on their own advancement they also have one eye on the other semi final. In that contest the two teams are separated by a full 2 star avg and yet the first leg finished 1-1 at the home of the very clear favorite. The Hungarian favorites are very similar to OR's semi final opponent which is slightly less than 1* below on avg. The difference between facing a 37.4Q side and a 27.1Q Chinese side could make for a much less tense final but all bets are off in the CL.
Of course most will remember that OR was eliminated from the Cup in the playoff round so the continuing chase for the elusive treble will have to wait at least another season. Olympique Rouen will likely finish with either 5 or 6 major trophies in their first 4 seasons of existence including a pair of T11 Cup titles.
Today sees rounds 22 (2150 GMT (5-0 win) and 23 (0400 GMT) of league play. Tomorrow will see the dramatic conclusion of the CL semi final at the Stade de Rouen at 2106 GMT.
As for the countdown to the league title the earliest that Les coqs gaulois can clinch the title would be after round 23 with two wins today and a loss for the 2nd place side or 4/30 if they win their next 3 regardless of other results. OR has already secured a top 3 finish and with a win in round 22 will make it officially a two team race at the top although the 2nd place side from Bangkok has already played OR twice and is the only team to have taken any points from the leaders this season.
As a side note should OR win the league it will mark the 2nd straight season they have led from wire to wire having now been on top of the league standings for 48 rounds running.
