For whatever reason the Nord geniuses decided to dump the gens on day 2 this season. I logged in after reset and there were a load of 6-$7.5M players (for level 4 that is high).

There were even 3 keepers over 6M!!!! I Signed the best few and hopefully they will not be duds.....Not that I really "need" them outside of the keeper. I cannot for the life of me find a keeper that ever gets more than one 8 rating a season and usually there are a lot of 5-6 games. Is this just normal? I have finally found a CM that produces after all this time so I am hoping I do the same with the keeper.....

Anyway. I am seeing that the fast training seems to be tied to stars. At the end of last season my 7* ST was getting about 25 from a max training. Once the season turned over and he is a 6* again he is back up in the 40's. This is happening across the board.

Perhaps your defence is too good and they don't get many opportunities to do more of the eye-catching stuff ie they're bored. Perhaps when making saves they should be catching they are pushing them out for CK or to defenders/attackers. In short, there is inactivity and there are both good saves and bad saves. Ive had bad GKs that don't concede goals and good GKs that have even had several MoMs and 9s - it was a highly competitive league.

And potential training rate depends on age group, star and its inherent training rate (rule of thumb is to use Market Value relative to Q for this).

    Here's a GK with some 8s and 9s

I've three players in my team that are aged 24, 25 and 26 at the moment. All three are in the last year of their contact with me and are all high 5 star - however they are all back up to younger players who are even higher 5 star, or just moved over to 6 star.

I won't be renewing their contracts at the end of the season. When I either have nothing left to play for (if I am out of the cups, or can't win/lose the league) I will start trying to sell them. Probably start with getting rid of them from around day 25 otherwise - and if they sell will go players short in the last day of the season, or if they don't sell they will be released for free at the start of next season.

The rest of my players in my team are 19/20 or 21 yr old (One is 22 - but in his second year with me). I doubt more than 2/3 will sign another contract with me as I will sell them on or replace them with better players in their third season. I find working in cycles of 3 seasons is best.

It doesn't pay to be loyal to virtual players in this game. I buy and sell pretty much after a player has played 2/3 seasons for me as even the quickest younger players can not develop faster than the new players when you have promoted.
