F.C. = football club ... now i hope you figure yourself that all clubs have it ... even barcelona indeed is FC barcelona , Real Madrid is FC REAL MADRID ... and so on .... even if you use one single name the truth is "FC" for all ..

During the Franco years in Spain, Barcelona were forced to change its name to CF Barcelona, CF being Castellano, FC being Catalan.
Catalan was outlawed by Franco. Following his reign, the club reverted to its Catalan name. The rivalry between Barça and Real is about much more than football. It is a question of language, separatism, deep routed hatred/love of Franco, colour versus white. Barça's motto is "mes que un club" more than a club.
In Spain there are three types of person. Barça, Madrid and those that don't follow football. Even if you support another club, you have to choose white or colours. I chose colours.
Incidentally, they both compete in basketball too.
