So today I am playing the first of two matches against this guy in cup. He is 2 levels above me and I dont see any way of me winning. Any advice ?

No, if you have players with skills at same level, like me, that I train speed till 9-10 stars LOL

Cup is rough. You start off with teams of similar quality but you have some who then power train their starters up a couple stars and everyone else is screwed.

I am in the 1/4 finals and while there isn't a team that far ahead (all less than 1 star apart) I am not the most talented. It will be a crap shoot as to which of the 8 make it. Though I have destroyed the last two opponents that were about the same as the rest.

Last two seasons I met players who buy more tokens than me and lost.

I beat a team like that in cup in season 6, they were all 7/8 stars. I had only 1 7 star, but several 6 stars.
Last season I beat a team of all 6/7 stars all with abilities in CL 4-0 1-0 playing 451V, I had about half 5 half 6 star, mostly with abilities. so yeah it can happen.
