Changing the name of a player you want to sell, seems that working better than giving him a special ability

my alt. team, Asteras, lv2 - after I played in CH.L. final, sold 3 6* players (with low q) to lv3 team
very easy after changing their names



my alt.team Artemis, lv2 - was difficult to sell a guy named Guschin but after renamed him (also) as Ozil, the job was done




Well, I wasn't sure if this trick is still working in higher levels like 12 of my main team ...
It does - after rename my player Emerson (3 auctions without result) , as Ozil (again) , I sold him.

It must happen in the first levels. At higher levels you can't sell even renaming.

The surprise for me was that it worked in lv12 (for a second time).

30 mins ago I sold a renamed GK - Andy Goram.

OK, I'm being facetious.

Renaming can work to get unsellable players sold - it probably does have a psychological effect (orsome folks think the game generates these players as 'special') but its better to get the guy in shape to sell without it and use the token for something else like an FA. But as a last resort its pretty successful.

I do use it as a last resort since I now only carry over 14 players to the next Season and I must sell my excess or sack them.

Rename a guy to a current top notch player irl.
