Have they extended retirement age ????

I have a 33yr old and plan on sacking him but first i saw he had renew contract so check it and i could add another 3 year if i was too meaning he`ll be 36 instead of the normal retire at 34 yrs old

The game lets you the possibility to extend the contract(don't know why?),but the player will still retreat at the maximum age of 34.Perhaps you should demand him to pay the release clause as he left the club earlier.

that`s the thing player`s normally retire at 34 as i`v tried it before when i had 32 yr old and could only sign a 2 yr contract so this why i`m wonder if they have change retirement age as this 33yr old should only be able too sign on for 1 more year and not 3 yrs ??

Sign him and you'll know when he decides to retire.

They can retire earlier too - Palace Terriers have 5 players retiring this season, one of which is only 32...

Retirement age is around 32-34...i believe it is random. You can still renew a contract of a 33 yo provided he is not retiring, but he will definitely call it quits after 34yo. So he wont see out the last 2 years of his contract.

But then, as someone said earlier, he should pay compensation, which of course is negociable.
