Average Rating For A GK

Last season I'd have said 6.5-7.5 was a good rating range for a good GK depending on standard of opponent. This Season I'd say it was 7.0-8.0.

My GK has average ratings of 6.9, 6.9 & 7.64 in his 3 Seasons. He's played 143 matches in that time and never rated 5.

I find it unacceptable that 4-5 star goalkeepers of other teams have good ratings and consistency - they seem to be unbeatable or at least have a lot presence, while my GK, despite being 7 stars, is inconsistent and does not appear to make enough important saves. In fact, I have rarely seen him making important saves. He more like absent, and the goals get in as if he is not between the posts.
