Sure, you sometimes lose to a counter team, but... totally outshot by an inferior opponent even when you set your team to "hard attacking" after 20 minutes?

Palace teams report, Friday...
Casuals got the draw against the Group leaders they required to progress to the Champions League knockout stage, Valentin Ndjengue playing right-wing and finishing off a move started by striker Anthony Petrovski in a 1-1 draw. Midfielder Emrah Topalan made his 50th appearance in Red-and-Blue.

In the League, Casuals played away and earned their fifth draw of the season. Emrah Topalan opened the scoring in the 4th minute, heading home a Liam Cashman cross, and four minutes from time a Cashman one man show produced the equaliser for 2-2, heading home a corner from Johan Shaqiri after forcing the 'keeper to concede the corner from a long-range shot. Midfielder Michael Muscroft picked up a Groin strain injury.
Terriers had an early away League match and won 5-1, despite conceding an early opener from the home side. Ruben Gorrono, Ondrej Kadlec, Julien van der Plas, Aad Roemgens and Ben Atkins scored the goals which kept Terriers up with the League leaders. Needing a win to ensure progression in the Champions League, Terriers left it to the last minute of the match to get the result. Conceding an early goal, Ben Atkins equalised and there the game deadlocked. Despite a formation change early in the second-half, the visitors still maintained their resistance, but right-back Aad Roemgens headed home a Nathan Masegela corner to send the home support home happy with the 2-1 win.

I now hold a 4 point lead at the top of my shark league.
Having decided to keep 10,000 Tokens in my account and swap the rest for Greens, I thought it would be wise to strengthen my squad a little bit more to put a bit of quality distance between my team and the rest in my league.
For the first time in ages I brought in a scout - a goalkeeper who was just shy of being 7 star - and I quickly power trained him up to 8 star level. He cost me 69 Tokens, but he is 22, so age is on his side a little bit.
6 players now at 7 star level
1 player now at 8 star level
Foster is at high 9 star level (and due to his MOM awards is technically ten star)
Every other player is scout level.
Only 204 Greens in my account now, 10,026 Tokens, so hoping to add more Greens in the next two weeks to either strengthen the side some more if its needed - or to have them ready for the start of next season to power train Foster back up to high 9 star again.
The 10K Tokens in reserve that I have are a good fall back to use if needed.
http://i1178.photobucket.com/albums/...d/07082015.png
Gah, was board tonight so decided to improve the team some more.
I have now got 8012 tokens, having decided to convert down from 10K to 8K for Green packs.
Green packs now stand at 1104.
I now have -
1 players at high 9 star (Actually ten, due to his MOMs)
1 player at 8 star
12 players at 7 star
7 players at scout level.
1 of those scout players is my back up keeper, who I am happy to sell if a taker picks him up, but will keep him as back up instead of sacking him unless someone makes a bid.
http://i1178.photobucket.com/albums/.../07082015b.png
Now that is me done for the rest of the season power training wise. My intention is to power train Foster back up to high 9 next season, but that is it - the rest of the squad should be more than good enough for what I need unless I am trolled with another shark league.
It may be too late to do this but, this is my Singapore Lions squad.
We may have not signed enough bench players to fill the squad, but anyway, non-Singaporean bench players are ineligible and cannot be used at any time. Because this is obviously, intended to be an all-Singaporean team for SG50.

We have kept our form and won 10 matches continually since our third game of the season.
Yesterday, we also moves on to the Champions League Round of 16. We may have drawn aganist the eventual group winner Joan XXIII 1-1 away, with the opposition's striker Antxon Lopez equalizes in the 67'. The 3rd-placed Borussia Dortmun(d) needed to win this game to seal the spot, but they couldn't do well enough and they drawn aganist bottom-marker Los Feras FC 2-2 at home, when the away side already known their fate in the competition.
For today's league match, A Tan, Irfan Fandi Ahmad and Aaron Khoo scored two goals each, and helped the Lions wins aganist 9th-placed Sidney Lorenc FC with a convincing score of 8-0.

We also rescheduled our Champions League R16 opening leg tomorrow to the midnight, in order to prevent conflicts with such an eventful day tomorrow. While we rescheduled, I noticed some image positioning glitch.

Meanwhile, the league leader T Dhegel AFC will get to play very soon aganist 5th-placed Yahli Hecht FC away. They are the team who beat us 2-0 at their home in the league season's opening game.
Kynan: do you prefer 4-4-2 at most of your games or do you adopting/playing counter formations??? (concluding from your triple roles)
The unlikely comeback has been made in the Cup! After going down 1:4 away in the first leg, my team went through with a 3:0 win at home, winning the tie on away goals. I kept them in attacking mode, 4-1-4-1, passing down both flanks for 90 minutes and they held a firm grip on this game.

And look at those ratings/progressions. Becker shines once again. I don't regret the tokens spent on him ;)

Won league match 2-1
Palace teams report, halfway through the season...
Casuals aren't losing, but then they aren't winning, either. Their third and fourth successive draws gave them one point in the League, and a 4-3 aggregate win in the Cup, respectively. In the League match, Omar Hansen netted a direct free-kick for the equaliser in a 1-1 draw, Casuals dropping a place as a result, and Suhail Kamal got the equaliser in the 1-1 draw in the Cup match.
Terriers are enjoying a 6 match winning streak, today's home games being a 4-0 win for a 11-0 aggregate win in the Cup, and a 4-1 win in the League, to maintain their hold on 4th place. Xabier Moran, Nathan Masegela, Nicky Jones and Julien van der Plas were on the score sheet in the Cup game; Jones and Moran (2) were also on target in the League match, Ben Atkins adding the fourth goal.
Desert Rats FC had a difficult formation to cope with in their away League game today, but managed to overcome their problems to win 3-0, Alfie Butterfield, Lorcan Ivory and Michael Attenborough providing the goals, but Butterfield later went off with an injury.
Cup: The Buffs make hard work of it but crawl over the line with a 2-1 win. Gauld scored both to take his Season's tally to 35 ;)
Robertson (DL/DC) Hutton (DC/DR) and Harper (ST) have all now played over 200 games for the Club.
When you need a change. Celtic Rangers got a bad start but pulled it out of the bag

Looked like it was going to be one of those blocked, wide, over days but that soon changed.
Haven't posted much this season. Been playing the counter-formation game like usual, with narrow diamond being the most preferred formation to this point. With my new DMR/MR/AMR nordgen, trained up to 7*, might elect to use a wide diamond or 4-3w-1-2 more often, to get my best players on the pitch, in their desired roles. But if the ND continues to roll, might just continue to that as well...
Anyways, here are how things currently stand.
League: 10-2-0, atop the league by 3 points and play 2nd tomorrow. League is deep with quality sides, going 7 deep with 5* starting 11's and 8th and 9th being capable squads as well. Gigantic pile of junk behind them.
Champions: Round of 16 begins tomorrow. Won my group on 18 points, which hasn't happened since level 6. Its also the weakest group I've seen since I was in like level 6, consisting an abandoned team, a 1* team and a team with a ST as DMC. Gotta thank the new league draw system here.
Cup: Still alive, winning the round of 16 (5:1 agg). Very fortunate draw on my behalf as I didn't fool the cup draw and increased the quality of my top 14 relative to the start of last season, yet the quality of my remaining potential cup opponents is lower than last season. But lower quality, doesn't necessarily mean easier, and with a lvl 16, defending CL finalist, and another lvl 15 token farmer/buyer the cup is still a daunting challenge.
