Along with the League Draws and AQ tables, we also have the Abandoned Teams and Tankers section.

In Palace Terriers Level 2 league, we have the following offered for the Abandoned Teams:

The thing with the Abandoned Teams, is that when the OOC and Retiring players are removed and the 'Geriatric Set' are put into make the team back up to 14 players again, Nordeus makes no attempt to put them in the playing squad, but adds them as non-playing substitutes. What this means is on match day the match program just fills the vacant playing slots with whatever it likes and you end up playing in a 20% possession match, which means results of the range 2-0 to 15-0 to the 'proper' side. The down-side of that is, everyone gets a free boost to their goal difference, until you get to play them. In most cases, you join the goal fest and carry on. But in the back of your mind, you're thinking 'is this the game that Nordeus is going to whack me around the head on?' - if so there are three scenarios, in ascending order of adverse effect to your success in that season:

3) The other team doesn't turn up, you get a 3-0 walkover - OK, 3 points, but you've been seriously disadvantaged in the Goal Difference department, which could be crucial at the end of the season;

2) You get the expected Big Win, but half your side gets crippled in the process - OK, 3 points and a good GD boost, but Nordeus have just hit you where it hurts in the Red Pack and/or Token department;

1) Nordeus decide to drop a big, fat, Troll into the match, and you draw, or even worse, lose - Ouch!
