Please give scores of the matches between the three teams concerned so we can explain. The placings on the table are determined by head-to-head results, and then goal difference if h-t-h is the same.
EDIT: Nikolgiorgos beat me to the link for the official line, if you're still confused come back to us...

The winner of each stage and the position of each team in the rankings is determined by the following:
1. Higher number of points obtained in the group matches played among the teams in question;
You have the same points , so we're going to the next:
2. Higher goal difference from the group matches played among the teams in question;
Since you had two ties the goal difference is 0 , so we're going to the next:
3. Higher number of goals scored in the group matches played among the teams in question;
Since you had two ties you scored the same number of goals , so we're going to the next:
4. Higher number of goals scored away from home in the group matches played among the teams in question;
Maybe here is the answer for you. Did he score more away goals in these two matches between the two of you?

If you count only the points + goals scored/recived between the 1st 2nd and 3rd, not the 4th, just teams involved in the draw, you will have less less goal average.
I've tried to report it via the site but it's unclear how to do so. I am not sure this is a bug or I do not understand the point method, but I thought your ranking in case of a point draw is based on GD, yet my GD is better than someone elses and he is ranked higher than I. I added a screenshot. would love an answer if anyone knows.

Point method = when there's a draw with same points between 2-3 teams involved.
To know who have better position if you have 8 points and another have 8 too, just see the 2 results between you and this team, count the points obtained in these 2 matches, who have +, won the position, and if there's a draw, goal average decides.
As in the real Champions League.
Please read the links above in thread for explanation of rules. Results between teams in question is where tie are decided.
Expressed above is my own opinion. ☻ Your results may vary.
