In an idle moment, the Palace Management team have been analysing the Champions League opposition this season:
Palace Casuals have a 'Group of Death'...
Level 25 Champions League Group G
Riemsky United - Saarbrücken, Germany. 4*/137.6Q. League Champions last season.
Levski - Sofia, Bulgaria. 5*/141.1Q. League 2nd, Champions League Semi-Finalists, Cup Winners.
Palace Casuals - Clevedon, England. 4*/136.3Q. League 3rd place, Cup Runner-up.
Chelsea FC - London, England. 3*/130.8Q. League 4th place.
Recent history:
Riemsky United - none.
Levski - Champions League 'Top 16' round last season, 2-12 aggregate defeat. Previous seasons have locked horns on several occasions, last meeting was in (Palace Casuals) Season 23, PC did double over them, 2-1 at home, 4-1 away but ended 2nd to them by 1 point.
Chelsea FC - in same league last season, PC did double, 4-1 at home, 3-1 away. Finished 3rd/4th in league.
Palace Terriers look to have an easier Group to get out of...
FOUR Real Madrid teams??
Level 3 Champions League Group H
FC Livingame - Billericay, Turkey. 3*/21.3Q. League Champions last season.
Palace Terriers - Clevedon, England. 3*/24.1Q. League 2nd place, Cup Runner-up.
Bulls Brown FC - Jakarta, Indonesia. 2*/17.7Q. League 3rd place.
Real Madrid - Madrid, Spain. 2*/17.9Q. League 4th place.
No history of ever meeting these sides.
Palace Terriers spotted a couple of likely recruits in the Transfer Market this afternoon:
Firstly a player who fills a gaping hole in the Terriers line-up - the DML part of the Role is a bonus. 2T/$843K
...then a brief battle for a young goalkeeper. 5T/$1.36M
Desert Rats FC also picked up an experienced player in the Transfer Market, a 3T/$511k purchase of Jose Carlos Matias, a 30-y-o Argentinean central midfielder, 5*/29Q.

The final Palace teams report for today - honest!!
Palace Casuals went into today's Cup 2nd Leg match at home trying to overturn a 2-4 deficit from the 1st Leg, but although they won the game, a 1-0 win wasn't enough and they exited the competition at the first step, 3-4 on aggregate. The only goal came in the 35th minute, striker Liam Cashman romped through the visitors' defence and passed the ball to defender Ben De Wree, who slammed it past the 'keeper.
Midfielder Suhail Kamal achieved 100 appearances for the Casuals in this match.
