My opinion is no. Having just restarted at level 1 last season. Had some fast trainers and normal attackers around the same quality with a balance of whites and greys. They were sharing the MOMs until i powertrained.

It feels like the fast trainers perform better after we get some training in but when they are raw of the auction market. No diff.

Yes and No
A good but free to play manager is gathering and using his sources mostly for attackers.
Wingers, AMC and ST are the players someone want to invest, not only to increase their quality and skills but to keep them for many seasons.
So it's logic to search for young fast trainers for those positions.
Those are the positions the game gives bonus at rates (as they score and giving assists) than MC, GK and defenders, so it looks like they perform better.

Dida is brilliant in cl and cup but he disappointed me in the league and tonight he scored a 6 in the league after he was man of the match in the cup earlier,so it was his last league game

That "confirms" what I was saying about gk a few months ago . It is very common that after a game that your gk saved you , in the next game he will be the weak point of the team . The opposite happens too . After a bad game , he can get a clean sheet and a 8 . i have seen many times on gk's ratings like this:

8-6-6-9-6-6-7-8-6-5-10 and so on ...

Conclusion : be careful and have ready a sub gk

Its just fatigue. Its also why your reserves play so well those 2-4 league/cup matches they get. Some players are super performers in some competitions too. Next time give your 2nd keeper a chance. My 2nd gk is 22% less and has conceded 2 goals in 8 matches, with 2 penalty saves.
