Game recogizes unassigned skill points and when the player has enough points for the next star the training speed still slows.

Pretty interesting facts and impressive ****! ... Its like "July Fourths development academy". ;)
still i am going to chose the scout player ... using it in matches will bring to team an extra edge over the 18 y.o ... so for the moment i chose scouts !
It doesn't matter too much if your buying a scout and doing some power training with them when the scout comes with balanced stats because at least you assign the skill points earned in the area you want, I tend to find that for defenders I go 110/100/105 for a 105 quality player. A Striker I'd go 100/110/105 for a 105 quality player, I don't like too much imbalance, it seems to affect their all around game.

out of curiosity, are you factoring injuries in this, or ignoring them due to their random occurrence?
is a very interesting thread. i just wish i could pick up 18 year old 5* players for a couple of tokens! they cost as much as scouts on my server and you still don't always get them!

Unfortunately this means Miku's training speed once again is slown down by about 30% but is still marginally faster than Michu, Miku wont be making much in roads to the 56 skill point difference until Michu has reached 8*.
Current Training Speeds
Michu 10/28/43
Miku 17/42/56

So what's the Verdict? you can keep the youngster few more seasons but with the amount of tokens spent is it easier to buy scouts every year? the plus side of youngsters is not only you get to keep them longer but you also get more $ for them in the end. I feel that full squad of 7* no longer good enough....i have 1 8* soon and I might need couple more to dominate the opposition.
amazing thread
It's a funny one, It depends on how much ability you want your players to have and how many tokens you have available to spend, It's costing around 300T to get a 22 year old scout (including purchase price) to 8* and around 250T to get an 18 year old upto 7* and add any special ability, basically for efficency, you need to take into account how long you plan to keep your players.
For this guide we will use 50T for quality insurance each season for both players starting the season after the power training has finished to keep players the same relative quality when they lose a star each season.
You have also got to consider each season to maintain these players ability you will need to invest around 50 greens on both players to make up for the lost star with promotion each season to keep the same player at the same ability, If it costs 450T each to get these 2 players to about the same rating, then it would cost 800T to insure Miku for 8 seasons and 600T to insure Michu for 4 seasons until they reach age 26 and the development rate slows down for the player, then you would have to spend another 600T raising another 22 year 6* scout for 4 more seasons when Miku has turned 22 and is already still at a high ability and only insured, So it looks like the younger 18 year old players (if they are fast trainers) are 1.5x more effective to power train than your scouts. Thats if of course you have all the tokens in the first place.
We also believe that the fastest training players in the game are your 24T 4* youth players that most players refuse to pay 24T for that the youth academy generates, would be interesting to see how one of those being power trained would compare to these 2 players here.
If your buying an 18 year old vs Scout to not power train initially and looking to 50 greens a season power training to keep the players ability up, then just get the Scouts, the Scout will have that special ability while the 18 year old will need to be trained to high-end 6* and get the special which will cost just about 225T to start off with.
22 year old Scout + 3 seasons quality insurance (when 23,24 & 25) = 200T and for 8 seasons with 2 scouts 400T.
Young player training to get to scout level + 7 seasons quality insurance (when aged 19-25) = 225T + 350 = 575T.
The crossover point of the investment is when choosing to buy a scout and planning to invest 175T afterwards for power training and then 50T for 3 seasons quality insurance afterwards. 375T tokens on 2 scouts for 8 seasons (buying your 2nd scout when the 1st one reaches age 26) is about equal to 1x 18 year old for 8 seasons. If your planning on investing more than 750T for power training a single player over 8 seasons then the choice is the young player.
hows the progress of miku now, coz im doin PT too on youngster 18yo...can u post the progress everyday till 9 stars?
damn....i just bought a bunch of youngsters and training them, they all reach 7* already...so to maintain 7* for the next season, how much cost of tokens/7* again July?
so it's only 25 tokens/each to maintain the star you will lose? are you talking about 7* or 8*? because if it's 8* then its pretty cheap.
I'm saying 50T to maintain a star for a season, the players will recieve natural skill points growth during each season but nowhere near 75 skill points, even with 50T/season for to maintain star level, the players may still fall short of the 75 skill points needed to keep their star and have the same effective quality for each level.
Miku vs Michu Update

Miku is currently 7*106 (49)

Michu gained 8 points from the last 25 boosters and Miku gained 11 points.
Michu Reaches 8*

This means training speed for Michu will decrease a little, meaning that Miku will now start to make some heavy in roads towards catching up to Michu again.
damn....I just got bunch of youths and training like crazy. So you think its better buy Scouts every season to have team full of 7* or maintaining the star is cheaper?
Going to the next star 75 skill point, if 1 day u make 10 PT + the player playing 2 match every day, so my suggest 1 day he gets, (10x2) + (2) = 24++ skill point, so in 3 or 4 days ur players going to the next level or u will get a special ability thats ur choice, if u manage 10 hours in 1 day....This refer to youngster 18yo. (btw sorry my english not really good, this just my theory).
i over spent this season already but i'm quite satisfied. Forgive me for asking too much as I want to be sure of complete understanding of the game. I have 1 8* and the rest are either 7* or soon to be 7*. The squad is 19 players with 16 of them under 24, meaning they can still train next year being 25 ( alot fo 19,20 yo as well). So what you say the cost would be keeping all these players 7 and 8 stars every season?
so how much booster needs to ur micu until 9* + SA, coz if push with token around 1k++ token
oh btw, you should mention using your first 50 skill points for SA or position will bring you little more advantage.
