Is something going wrong with the strikers lately ?

Yes, I have a serious problem with my Strikers !

This is the season no 72 but it seems that the problem started 2-3 seasons ago. Maybe when the live rates of the players or the live animation of the game started ?

So
-You can’t find a descent ST ?
-Are your AML-C-R scoring but not your ST ?
-Are your ST getting rates of 7 but scoring every 3 games ?
-Is your ST scoring a couple of goals in some easy games vs weak/abandoned teams but in some serious games, nothing ?
-You gave him sp, made him 7*-8* player but still nothing ?
-Are you thinking that in every game you use him, his stats getting worst ?
-Did you forget what was the last time that your ST got a hat-trick ?
-His special abilities or functions like free-kick or “one-to-one” isn’t working or missing penalties ?
-If you use two or three ST, it’s getting worst ?!
-Are you thinking not to use at all ST ? Only AMs ?
-The top scorers of your team and your league are mostly AM & MC ?
-Did you buy some STs but they also didn’t do anything ?
-When you’re searching the transfer market, you just can’t find a ST with good stats ?
-Did you buy a scout list ST but the result was the same ?

In older seasons, also wasn’t so easy to find a good ST, but the last seasons it’s really a nightmare.
Reminds when we were searching for MCs who played a little above the usual rates of 6. Now MCs have good rates.

Is it my observation, is it a coincidence or maybe is something wrong with the updates ?

I think it might be something to do with formation, I always play wide and I agree with everything you said but I notice against narrow formations the strikers usually scores against my team, I never try that as I have good wingers and I try not to depend of the strikers. But yes as u said its about 2-3 seasons this nightmare.

Few days ago, I found in TM a ST (nordgen) with "one-to-one" sa (for my team lv2). It was very early and a "quite" time in my server, so I bought him with 1 token. He had quality 29 and only few sp to 6*.
The plan was to buy him and sell him after some training, in an evening time, so to cause a mini bidding war and gain some good money from that.



I had the (bad) idea to use him in an easy game I had, to create some good stats for him.
I set him as F-K & penalty kicker.
It was terrible
0/1 free-kicks, 0/1 penalty, doing nothing in the field, getting a six.


I sold him but with this stats (and his high value), got sold in 1st round


I buy a lot of nordgens. Not every one is performing good from the first day, but I never had such a failure.

This depends on the formation and orders you use.

I use two types tactic:
*4 1 2 1 2 (DL, DC, DC, DR, DMC, MC, MC, AMC, ST, ST
*4 3 2 1 ( DL, DC, DC, DR, MC, MC, MC, AMR, AML, ST

When I use the 41212 I realized that the attackers are quite effective, but when I play with 4321, the AML and AMR is they who make the goals.

As a result that my teams more frequently use 1 striker formation instead of 2 striker formation in last few seasons, my strikers have less chance to play. This has direct effect to the no. of goals scored by them. But this cannot explain the drop in match ratings.

Probably formation changes also affect performance. But I don't believe the effect is so large.

In my first team the bulk of the score comes from my AMR/AML. My striker with one on one SA and upgraded to 7 stars is performing not bad. Statwise he is scoring 7-8's but he played 21 games with 11 goals and 7 assists. His rate increased when I switched from 2 strikers to 1 striker. My AML is at 16 goals and 4 assists. My AMR is at 10 goals and 10 assists. So overall no bad scores but a striker should be scoring more if you ask me.

My second team has a striker with FK SA. He has played 20 games and has scored 20 goals and 10 assists. My AMR is at 25 goals and 9 assists. My 4star AML is at 19 goals and 6 assists. And my 4 star MR is at 18 goals and 9 assists. If my striker would not have had the FK SA he would behind the other 3 players which doesn't feel right. Again, in this team I switched from 2 strikers to 1 striker. Last season my strikers were doing like 0,5 goal per game at max while all other players were scoring like mad.

My AM also score more goal than my ST, sometimes i play with 2 ST + 1 AMC or 1 ST + AMR/AMR

Well, I must agree with the original post from this thread. I don't know if there is something going on recently. But I never got a stiker who could score goals. Most of them come from my wing AM and my best goal scorer is a DM !!! But as long as you win... Who cares ?
What can you expect from a game where a situation like this keeps happening day after day: your 7 * striker (with 1 to 1 SA !!) gets in front of your opponent's keeper and ? and ? passes the ball to your ill-skilled DC !! who, of course, immediately aims at the top half of the north strand...

I don't know if it's about formation. 4-4-2 ND or similar formations from the middle (4-3-3, 4-1-2-3, 4-3-1-2) are classic.
I 'm not playing anymore 4-4-2 nd, even if my oppo has a wide defense OF 3 (DL-DC-DR), cause I 'm afraid that my STs gonna stuck.
And it's not the quality of the players. They are good. For example
my main ST, when playing in "easy" games vs very weak or abandoned teams, in some games is effective. When playing vs normal 5* teams, he's doing nothing (and gets a 7 ).
His stats bellow, are fake. I use him also as a F-K (he is good at that) & penalties specialist to keep his stats good.


He is another ST, I gave him also AMR position. When paying as ST, it's a failure


and another ST, I also gave him AML. The same, also failing as ST
