Day 10 - Palace Casuals report.
Home match today against team in 6th, and the good work from yesterday continued, but the result wasn't so soul-crushing. Jorge Contera was injured three minutes before half-time with the score at 0-0, and the Management had a quick think at half-time as there isn't a direct replacement for him. Upshot was a change from the 4-1-4-1 listed counter to the opponents formation and go back to the 'good old days' of 4-5-1V, defensive, counter, flanks. Andy Bayunu was brought on to replace Contera and left-midfielder Juan Manuel Ramirez shifted forward (out of position) to the left-wing spot. Nothing changed, so the normal left-winger Martin Kozak was brought on to replace Ramirez and a straight striker swap requested, Mehmet Serif to replace Philip Deery. While this was waiting to be actioned, Deery surged through the visitors' defence and then squared the ball for central defender Martin Schopper to notch his first goal of the season. Nine minutes later, Mario Dinamarca slotted home his second penalty in two matches after Bayunu was scythed down in the area. Two late bookings to Dinamarca and Bayunu, the latter will now miss a match, and the late consolation that the visitors scored completed the action. Casuals move up to 10th after this 2-1 win; Mario Dinamarca, celebrating his 100th appearance for the Casuals in this match, got MoM.
