Down the flanks?

Please write detailed info:
3N means 3DC, that's sure, but;
3W means ML-MC-MR or DML-DMC-DMR?
3 means 3MC, ML-MC-MR or AML-AMC-AMR or 3AMC?


Against these I would use passing through flanks:
3DC-3DMW-3MC-ST
3DC-3MW-3AMC-ST
3DC-3DMC-3AMW-ST
3DC-3DMC-3AMC-ST

Ah I see. So if you played 4-3n-2w-1 you would use down flanks. So 4 against 2, right?

Yes, but If opponent has DML and DMR, then I'd rather use ML/R instead of AML/R
