I think I've been misunderstood here. I too have bought afew tokens along the way, not a load, but a few.

I wouldn't dream of wasting them (IMO) on name changes. I'm going to spend some on green packs as I need a load in a hurry!

I know what you mean. I sometimes (not always), change players names because I like to have players that sound a bit like REAL players but are not quite as good. I currently have 2 players in my squad who have vaguely familiar names (Brian Gibbs & Larry Redknapp). I also once had a striker called Wayne Looney. I just try to add a touch of humor to my game.

Also, regards buying tokens, a lot of people say its wasting money, (maybe it is), but I spend on average, £10 per month on them. But I don't smoke or drink, or own a car, so why not? After all, £10 would only get me 2 packets of cigarettes (a month?), or maybe 3 glasses of beer. So I don't see it as wasting my money.

I`m not saying you can`t change player`s names, it`s the manager that is bidding for these players.
these player are below average yet because of name they seem to go mad ? i could understand if level 1 or 2 players as they just joined but it`s not, it`s level 6 to 8 so surely they have more sense, guess not

Oh! I agree. The player name means nothing at all. Actually, when I first started playing, there was one occassion when there were 3 Christiano Ronaldo's on my TL, at the same time. Pathetic really.

just because a player comes up with the name messi, ronaldo, hart comes up does not mean they play like them why bid so much and these are level 6 to 8, come on you`v been here long enough, NAMES DON`T MATTER

My mate seen a bidding war escalate on zlatan ibrahimovic, said he ended up going for 10 times his actual worth.

Ive changed one players name on here, my new strikers called zlatan ibrahimovic, my top 11 rainy day money haha!

Dunno why token buyers get so much grief, i reckon ill buy 2 packs a season, 12 pounds worth, 160 tokens, its **** all tbh! Buy one scout player a season n use the rest for bidding. I wouldnt use them to buy packs though, not when they can be sent by friends or earned watching a few videos!

i can only dream of having 200 tokens! i do not buy tokens or get free ones from surveys or by giving pay pal my credit card details as i don't have one! i get 1 token per day and save them, once i have 10 or more i hit the market and spend wisely! i am now in level 6, i have been promoted year on year, winning the league twice and cl once on the way! last year was my worse season finishing 5th and no cl. i started this season with 16 tokens and spent them all on 4 really good players, 5 stars,i got a dl/c who cost 7.9 million for 2 tokens. i have not been beat yet, top of the league and in the play offs for the cup. I think by playing this way you are really testing your skills. I have started to play different formations and tactics according to the formation i am playing and take advantage of weaknesses in the opposing team which seems to be working a treat at the moment!

but he was a one on one scorer too so it's not very surprising
