Day 9 - Palace Casuals report.
Palace Casuals' only match of the day was a late League match against 4th place. After an early rough start in which 'keeper Marcos Sacilotto made several saves to keep Casuals in the match, the midfield and forward lines gradually took control of the game. The front three shared out the goals again, striker Massimiliano Gerini bagging a brace and the wingers one each, as the Casuals ran out comfortable 4-0 winners.

The Palace Terriers Management returned to the office to supervise training before tomorrow's matches, and ran an eye over the Transfer Market while he was at it. A near-6* MC was available with 20 seconds left on the clock. Having cast a speculative Token in against the only other bidder, the Management held his nerve and risked not bidding in the 1st Knockout Round and won... 1T/$11.8M (vs a $16.6M market value)

Most competitive active match in a month for the club sees us away winners after a late goal by near forgotten AM Petrov.
I was expecting trouble from his attacking 3 and found it, going 2-1 down at the break. Change in formation and orders saw us with better chances on the ball and we pulled back two in the 2nd half.
We may be potentially facing this opponent 3 more times the season as he will be our next cup opponent if he can translate a 1:3 first leg lead into progression.
This game is most fun when playing equal opponents

Also, suck it 451V!
don't mind the visual bug
As expected I'm not doing well in the league (9th place). But I'm still able to win the cup and I got a massive 7-0 win against our CL group leader
Not good plus new comment from as man

Sadly I'm not in the race for the cup anymore, the difference in Quality was too high
He came on and scored immediately. Very efficient striker now on 9goals 3assists in 8games. What would my team be like without him. Thanks to him I am sitting 6points above the second placed team. I just want to win as much as possible.

Day 10 - Palace teams Cup report.
Both teams at home in their Cup Play-off Round 2nd Leg matches, and both progressed.
Palace Terriers were level after their 1st Leg match ended 0-0, so had to be careful of the away goals rule against their Level 11 opponent. They needn't have worried too much, however, as DMC Philip McKay converted an Onder Chamoun free-kick and Nikolay Radev blasted home from outside the penalty box to put the home side 2-0 up. The visitors pulled a goal back, but the defence held firm to prevent any further breaches. Terriers go through to the 'Top-16' Round 2-1 on aggregate.
Attachment 64046
Palace Casuals had little worry for their match as they were already 5-1 to the good. As in the 1st Leg match, both sides played it cagey early on, but the Casuals slight Quality superiority and home advantage told more as the match went on and the final score was 5-0. The forward line shared in the spoils, striker Massimiliano Gerini and right-wing Maarten Wiegman each scoring a brace and left-wing Angelo Musto, having a relatively quiet match, pitching in with the other. Casuals appear in the 'Top-16' Round for the first time in 6 seasons with a 10-1 aggregate win.

Just got out of the cup again... First leg 2-2 tie away and second leg I lost 0-4 to a way inferior team. This game makes NO sense.
I had a full rested team, biggest win bonus, full morale, he didn't even show up and won 0-4.
I am so done with this game. I don't mind losing but not when it doesn't make any sense... And it happens way too often.
Was leading 12-0 and then got a "wise" advice from assistant (read: Nordeus developer)...

Finally in the 15th game, my striker scored his first goal but also the second one and on the second game of the day he scored one more. 3 goals in 16 games for a almost 7 stars striker with SA...
All together good day because we won both games with great results!
After the thunderstruck  of a 2-7 defeat at home, the team recovered and with 8 victories in row, we keep going in CH.L.,Cup and back to the top of the league.

Day 10 - Palace teams League report.
Palace Terriers played away at 13th place and returned with a comfortable 5-0 win. Brian Horne scored a hat-trick for the second successive League match, midfielder Niklas Schlaudraff and left-winger Nikolay Radev scored the other two goals.

Casuals played away at 6th, place, who had a slight advantage in Quality and home advantage, and also a groupie supporting him. The home side started out in 4-3N-3, and the Casuals Management decided against using the recognised counter (4-1-4-1) as that would have reduced their Starting XI Quality too much, so kept to 4-5-1V, defensive/counter/longball. After a first half barren of any appreciable action, the Casuals went to Normal/no counter/short passing and started to make inroads to the home defence. In response, about 20 minutes from time, the home manager changed formation to 4-1-3W-2 and then saw the match run away from him. Left-winger Angelo Musto scored a goal each side of a season-opener from DMC Rene Jensen for a 3-0 final score.

Atlético Kolkata Day 8-10 Report
A 3-0, 2-5 and 4-1 victories on subsequent days. With some favorable results elsewhere, we're fourth, with a point separating the Top 4 teams. 5th is 5 points behind Atlético Kolkata, and 1st is just 3 points ahead of us. Atlético Kolkata are the only team to beat them, while suffering losses against the other 2. Today is another Top 4 clash, hope the second team wins it. We have easy games till Round 13. From 14-16, we have to face the other Top 4 teams on the trot.
Season start is great. Got some good fast trainers, gave them SA and I am leading with my two teams in the competition and CL. So those are safe. I am in the 1/8th finales with my main team in the cup. Defeated teams 1-3 levels higher then me. Facing again a team one level higher then me. So lets keep the fingers crossed.
My second team faced a team 1 evel higher that pulled the low quality players in the end trick. His team was full of 7 star players. First game I won 4-2, haha in your face. Second match I couldn't attend and of course although we were equal in terms of strength and shots, etc... my whole defense had an off day and we lost 2-0. Out on away goals. Grmbllll. I had good hopes for the cup this season but again, NOOOOO. Still have to win the cup the normal style. I refuse the drop in quality trick. Judging on the advisaries I could last untill the 1/2 finale otherwise. Next season better.
Reserves just done enough

I am moving my win/ST scoring streak reports here on the advice of the wise Arion.
I don't know how often this happens (certainly, had never happened to me before) but I have not lost a competitive match this season. I am sure this streak will come to an end before long, but until then I am having a lot of fun rooting for my team and my strikers to keep the two streaks alive.
Nineteen wins in a row, and strikers have scored every time.
Win 18: home Cup game, 3:0. Despite being evenly matched on paper, we had crushed the opponent 5:0 on their turf. For the return match, I lowered the win bonus to a symbolic number just so that the lads know they did not do anything wrong and I am still thinking about them. I also went defensive just because that is what you are supposed to do in a home game after winning away. AMR Willemse was intent on proving wingers still relevant by scoring two (last one from GK Dudic on CK) and ST Monasterski scored from the backup ST Khoza to keep the ST scoring streak alive.
Win 19: away League game: 4:1. Playing against a weaker opponent, AML Coronel and AMR Willemse staged a bloodless coup of sorts trying to take over the MVP honors from the strikers by combining for 3 goals and 3 assists. ST Kara continued to slump and was replaced by ST Monasterski after 63 minutes. When it looked like ST scoring streak would end, "The Monster" Monasterski scored at the 87 minute mark. DMC Ghigani earned a perfect 10.0 rating despite not figuring in the scoring, and was given the MOM honors over Coronel, who was also a 10.0.
Willemse now has the most G+A points on the team at 12+10, as well as 5 MOM, while Kara still has the most goals: 19. Monasterski is the league's leading scorer with 10, Willemse is the highest rated at 8.3, and Coronel has the most assists with 6.
Day 11 - Palace Terriers Champions League report.
Palace Terriers ensured progression to the Knockout stage, and the Group Leader spot, with one match remaining as they beat the second place team in their group, and the bottom team beat 3rd to make the race for the runner-up slot a bit more interesting. Left-winger Samir Gross bagged a brace to notch up his 50 goals for the Terriers. Gross was the first (and only, so far) AM Recommendation Purchase made by the Terriers Management and has racked up his goal tally in only 70 matches, and also has 18 assists to his name.

Day 11 - Palace teams League report.
Palace Terriers played at home against 4th position and it was that man Samir Gross again, netting another brace as Terriers win 3-0 to consolidate their 2nd position and keep themselves within shouting distance of the Vietnamese team in 1st. Midfielder Lukasz Sapela scored the third goal as the MCs forced their way onto the score sheet, Nico Cue providing the assist. Terriers have another player on the sick list, the fourth in six matches...

Palace Casuals were at home to 3rd place, and had only stadium and manager's possession advantage as both sides fielded teams of exactly the same Quality. The Management had to tinker a little with orders and bonuses, but eventually struck gold when left-winger Angelo Musto ran onto a long forward pass and opened the scoring, then provided the corner that Maarten Wiegman helped into the net. The Management were in the process of telling the team to go to hard defending for the last 10 minutes when the visitors pulled a goal back, but that was all they were allowed by a resolute Casuals team.

A little torn on whether or not to go for 1st place. I'll need a 3-0 victory at home to get it. I'll likely turn win bonus off and rest players but see how a specific formation works. Hopefully we will see him in the final.
Attachment 64105
Home leg went as planned. i might have scored a 2nd had I risked more but I am happy with a clean sheet. Did not want a 3-2 win. Found a hard defensive zonal formation to counter 451 with. GK Jussi was MoM but it should have been Zuger as he defended corners expertly. I'll take 1-0 and being called names by Mr.Oblivious every match.

Day 12 - Palace teams Cup report.
Both teams played their Cup 'Top-16' Round 1st Leg matches this morning.
Palace Casuals were away at an equal-rated Level 29 team, and having started with defensive/counter orders, found themselves 0-2 down at the break. The Management substituted a poorly-performing yellow-carded player at the break, and sent the team out to attack. Angelo Musto scored twice to give Casuals a draw and two away goals for the home Leg. Left-sided midfielder Felipe de Vasconcelas Leite made his 100th appearance in this match.

Attachment 64119
Palace Terriers Management set up the team for the home 1st Leg match and then saw the quality disparity between them and their Level 11 opponents, 94%/68.7 vs 103%/71.0:
So defensive/counter was the order of the day, and Onder Chamoun stunned the visitors with a first minute 30-yard thunderbolt, but the visitors equalised on 20 minutes. Declan McGranaghan repeated the dose to put the Terriers 2-1 up at the break, and when the Management decided that Samir Gross wasn't cutting it in this match and sent for a replacement, he confounded the powers that be by heading home a Brian Horne corner for 3-1. Liberal applications of defensive bonus saw the Terriers through to the final whistle for a well-deserved victory.

Win streak is now at 21. Strikers' scoring streak got snapped at 20.
Win 20: Away CL game, 3:0. Playing an underpowered CL opponent, whom we had beaten 4:0 at home, we did not sweat it too much. Monasterski scored early to avoid last minute heroics and keep the scoring streak alive. He later assisted on a goal by defenseman Van der Plas, who got bored in his own half and decided to have at it, earning MOM in the process. Kara continued to struggle and the wingers went dry for once.
Win 21: Away Cup game, 2:1. Having obliterated our 1/16F opponent 5:0 and 3:0, we were optimistic about being paired in 1/8F with a team who had barely (1:2 and 1:0) squeaked by their last opponent, who happens to dwell in the basement of our league. In hindsight, it may not have been a good idea to switch from one of our standard formations featuring two wingers to an unfamiliar 3N-4-1-2 and passing through the middle. Playing attacking football with attacking bonus boosted to 15%, we conceded a goal early in the second half. Attacking hard and having been promoted from ML to AML, Angel "Old Man" Orue scored an all important equalizer, which would later prove to be enough for MOM honors. I was prepared to live with a 1:1 away draw, when at the 81 minute mark the crew ran a complex combination, which included a pass back from the opposing half to the GK and confused everyone, including me and the opposition and culminated with a goal by the DC Akwaffo. Despite earning respectable ratings, the two strikers went empty handed, snapping the 20-game scoring streak.
The real test comes next when I play the 4, 3 and 2 place teams in succession. While there is plenty of daylight between us and the 3rd and 4th places, the 2nd place team is hot on our heels.
