Season 79 - Are you ready?

It is very difficult to built a proper team when you have only 7-8T at the start of the season. I did not buy any tokens for this season though I was tempted. I have to say that it is hard to resist at times, which is one of the reasons why Nordeus is making 'good' business.

My team contained mostly 4-star and low 5-star players at the start of this season; only one player was in the low 6 stars.
I was able to get 4 players. I still don't have a player for DL and DML. I made a mistake in bidding for the DL/DC though as there was a manager who bade in the last few minutes, and I bade just after him, which means he noticed it. I was on the brink of getting the 20 year old MC; I tried to bid in the last second, but the time was out. As for the MC with the playmaker special ability, there was already 3 bids for him, where one of the bidder seems to want him very much. Still, I was tempted to bid for that player, but after some more thinking, I did not. I already have 4 MCs in my team, 3 are which are decent though there is a lot of room for improvement in that part of the field. With only 2-3 tokens left at that particular time, it was better to keep those in case other bidders bid after me for the remaining 2 players. On overall, it is still better with those extra 4 players than having what I only had at on Day 1. So, it is still positive in some way, especially when considering the small amount of tokens that I had.

It is seems that it might be tougher this season, not only because of the lack of tokens for purchases but also there is a team full of scout list and recommendations' list players in the same league, and there is also another strong team. I will also likely miss some games as I have to attend exams. I think it is bad or not appropriate to play games like Top Eleven when you are close to exams period or you are in exams period; you are likely to get distracted or waste precious time.

By the way, I would like to thank those who have been helping me by sending me packs last season when I was going through bad periods (excessive injuries and so on). These include Nik and Peter.

My LEAGUE LEAGUE is very similar to the one of last season, because like last season i have 5 abandoned teams and 9 teams very similar in quality, so far cant see one team being favorite.
I have one team from last season LEAGUE and besides that, some of them have really strange formations.

My first game is against a abandoned team, so good game to make savings for CL games.

Day 3 - Palace Casuals League report.

The League draw has (finally) been revealed and Casuals are mid-Quality in a pretty small range of Quality (except one) in a League of also-rans and tankers (except one).



First League match away, Starting XI Quality the same, and a 2-2 draw resulted, Jack Auger and Angelo Musto the scorers.



With only the League to play for this season, a bit of paring of the dead wood will be done in the next couple of days to reduce the playing staff.

Coming back from from a 2-0 deficit, while down to 10 men! Only in top eleven!!!

I was hoping to keep the starters on the bench long enough to not have to use any greens to recover them prior to my champions league match. But my oppositions defense was stifling any chances my reserves created, so I brought on Suarez and Vercosa @ the 58th minute to try and ensure picking up the 3 points; Flores came on w/ about 15 minutes to go. The game remained scoreless until the 75th minute, when Vercosa found Neirhardt, breaking the deadlock. Vercosa assisted Ooregard in the 86th to remove any doubt.
