Shouldn't the CL knockout draw imitate UEFA Champions League?

As we've seen Nik "manipulating" his CL draw, and some users having advantage thus, the CL draw should be revamped —
In the first round, the group leaders play the group runners up. The teams of the same group won't play each other. After that all the draws are random, with second leg advantage going to the group winners, else that is random too.

You have to beat the best guy in the end anyway, I ended up playing the guy seeded top on my group in the final last season. Fortunately I beat him 3/3 times.

The Cup draw is the worry for me, it should just be your own level, and manipulated thus (maybe by putting average quality AI teams in the extra slots if needed), playing against people much higher than you every year is demotivating if you lose.

I think the TE CH.L. is inspired by the Word Cup of national teams.
Making a draw to give advantages to the leaders of the first groups.

But as you did Nik, you know your possible opponents from the start of the competition. In that case we can deliberately end second or finish first to delay our possible meeting with them.
