Day 3 - Palace Terriers report.

Assistant Manager's recommendations today, and the ST/AMR caught the Management's eye and was duly purchased. A bit of trade in between the two matches saw 3* ST Sergi Hernandez depart and a DC/DMC from the normal Transfer Market brought on board for 5T after a snipe bid saw off a bidder who had sniped in every previous round...



Lunchtime kickoff for the first Round in Champions League Group C; a debut for Pidutti and a first start for midfielder Marcelo Julio Cavalcanti da Silva against a slightly poorer Quality opponent. Pidutti scored an equaliser four minutes from time to save the home side's blushes after they had gifted a first half lead and did little subsequently to convince the supporters that they were serious about the match.



Palace Terriers, for the first time in a few seasons, are not the highest-Quality team in their League. At just above the average-Quality for the League (77.61), they are amongst a few heavy-hitters and a couple of real heavyweights (who also happen to be the two friends which are in the League). This all points to a more difficult season than they have been used to recently, they will be lucky to get to a Champions League place at the end of the season.



The start of the League competition was a home match against an all-5* team with a 1.2Q advantage, and defender Lyuben Dzhorev was handed his debut. The Terriers made light of the Quality difference, however as they took the match to their opponents and hit first with a 10th minute effort from striker of the day Ronaldo Pigatto Baratto. The visitors equalised 10 minutes after the break, but home 'keeper Oniango Edwin Mussa was equal to the task, keeping out the other 4 shots on target mustered by the opposition.

People need to start thinking that this is a defender, you need to train at least 4 to get the defensive bonus, so you need to have 4 defenders in the subs, to get the bonus without burn the condition of your main team.
