I take your point July, but I'm not that fussed about getting 8 or 9* players. This fella cost me a handful of tokens, he trains like it is going out of fashion and scores for fun. Not top scorer in the league (yet) but he bagged another two today so it can't be too long. He is winning me games which after all, is what is needed.
Admittedly, it is only in a low level team, but if the academy gives me one or two of these players (matched to the current level) a season for minimal tokens, I am more than happy. I have to spend the money on the academy anyway as you need it to unlock other features.
He'll lose a star in a day or two's time, but it won't take him long to regain it and go beyond.
No prizes for guessing who bagged 2 tonight. Rating slipped to 8 though.

I have an ML player, he is with me since I logged in first time (am in Level 7) I trained him to be a dribbler, now he has 33 points while all his teammates are > 50 , but he always scores ..
I consider him as a golden boy, I wish I can make him possess more points than his teammates, but sooner or later he'll be out of my first 11.
He got 4 today. 1 assist and rated 9 MOM.
He's back off the transfer list!
He now stands at 24 goals in 14 matches. That is just ridiculous - but I'm not complaining!
