Alright so here's the update I promised!

Yep, it's intended.

When you places 1st at the end of the CL group stage, you then play as Home in the first match after the group stage.

But this is not how works in the real life!!

Always is better to play the second match of an eliminatory in home, so the prize of been 1st in the CL group is to play agains a 2nd classificated team, and play the 2nd match in home.
