Just seen new fixtures. My first league match, is an exact repeat of my final match of last season. I got a home draw from that game.

Still in a higher league than my management level. (Manger level 5, playing in level 6 league).

My league fixtures draw sees me play a repeat of the previous seasons champions league final, a game in which I won 4-1 to win champions league, not an easy encounter by any means but I'm playing at home.

I checked league and is kinda easy, 2,3 stars teams and 1 good but still my team is a bit better, I didn't made any transfer so far and I won't make any this season, but still I hope/need to win this season!

Sold the bulk of my reserves on the last day of the season before their ages increased and their values declined. Purchased 3 scouts with my tokens i'd gained through sponsors and watching vids, and added some more strength to my XI. Most of last seasons XI except 2 I think are now subs/reserves.

Will now try and go a couple of seasons with the same squad with maybe a couple of additions here and there so I can build up some money and tokens for a rainy day.

Looking forward to seeing what cannon fodder will be in my league this season.

out of curiosity, are you paulbonnick from the old forum? i'm asking because both of you are spending a huge amount of money. seems like very high level.

Okay so I've been playing this game for exactly 8 months now.
I'm still in level 9 after finishing 10th last season without promotion.
My team average rating is 52.1 and the average age is 23 years old.
So far I won the league 4 times and became runner-up 2 times.
Also lost the Champions League final 3 times, of which twice on penalty kicks.
All my players come from the U-21 youth acedemy, I don't spend tokens on the transfer market or scout signings.
I assign every fresh 18 year old with a training program (position or skill)
I try to watch every game, but my phone is a Nokia N8 (symbian) so I can't watch games when I'm at work.

If I get lucky with the game-times (so I can watch them & receive possession bonus) I expect Top 4 finish.
Or else in the top 7. Good luck to everyone this season!!!

Played my first league match today. Lost 0-2 at home, to the team that won my division last season. I finished 3rd, 9 points behind them.
