Train to Scout or let it on 99%

Hi Trainers

Does it give a boost, if a player gets Scout-Rank (6 Star)? I have around 6 Players who are at 99% (almost scout) I am not sure if i should train them on purpose to give them scout rank. Because a 99% player is much easier to sell on the next season. Sometimes it even gets you offers including tokens. But if the sixth star gives a special boost i would consider training them.

We know, thanks to Al's research that the additional star seems to lower condition loss during match play. Not by much, but seems to be a real effect.

Beyond that I expect we'll just hear anecdotes and speculation.

I think anyone agrees 99 player can auction better than 80, but neither is a guarantee.

My opinion is that this increase will have little (if not no) effect on your player's performance but overall, your team will be better. After 25 seasons, I came to the conclusion that the default setting of any competition is a final victory for the highest rated team. Good, active and dedicated managers can force the outcome to their benefit but it's not guaranteed. My conclusion: more stars never hurt.

Additionally, a player 99%will train a speciality or a new position faster than being 100% or more. The same happens 1% before a new star. It happened to me when I bought a proposed player 119% and trained him a new position. He would gain +2 every second session but accidentally he reached 120% and started to gain %1 every session. (I was using the same session of course).

If you loathe him don't evolve him into scout
Do otherwise if you wish to keep him

But you 're asking advice from people with your half seasons and trophies

I think you are not aware of the depth of this question. There is much more to it than "Train to Scout or let it on 99%"
From what i can tell it looks like it doesn't matter much, unless you wanna train a new position which i would recommend absolutely no one! Same goes for special skills! Don't waste your precious skill points on that!

yes but there are many factors that only the manager (you) knows.
Which of them are fast trainers ?
Are they good performers ?
Have any extra positions or sa ?
What is their age ?
What are your plans for this and the next season ?
What are your resources ? (token/ packs/ game money )

Without those info, every opinion will be objective (judging from our teams and tactics which is very possible to be different than yours).

I distinguish between players I consider part of my long-term plans and players I plan to ship off or place on the bench.

If I plan to use a player for the coming seasons I would definitely let them evolve to scout level and onwards.
If a player is getting too old (by old I mean 23+) and are having problems keeping up quality wise I will lock them at 99 % in hope to earn myself a token or two.
