Player skills

A little bid confussed!! What I need to do with skill point ?? Except for Auto assign on Training session I found three ways for use of Skill Points.
1: Click on the player Select Auto assgin.
2: Learn a new Role.
3 Learn Special Ability.

Any suggestion which one is better ??

None of those options....
Just select physicall&Mental and/or attacking/defense.


It's available in the players skill list
