First leg of the Cup, I lost 1-0 as the away team
Second leg, I won 4-2 as the home team. I thought I needed 5-2 to at least get to OT so I thought I had lost. But to my surprise, I'm in the next round.
Mistake? or I don't understand something?

no if you had won 4:3 in the home leg you would have lost.. As that would have resulted in an aggregate of 4:4 with 3 away goals scored for your opponent. Your aggregate of 4:3 takes the tie.

Simple you scored more goals…obvious really
btw it´s extra time not OT
Ok, I thought that in a tie, the agregate formula was calculating the away goal right away. In this case I thought it was : Me 0 + 4=4 Him 1+(2x2)=5. But if I understand you correctly it is rather 1) number of wins 2) if tie, number of goals 3) if tie, number of away goals?
Rule of double goals is only applied in case that the final score finish in a draw. Like a 4-4 with the aggregate , or 3-3 or so, but this is just a 4-3 and his 2 goals in your field are not counted x2 if thats your confusion.
So well done.
Thanks. I felt bad for him.... not anymore!
It's easier than you think. Just add up the result of both matches and if the total is a tie (let's say it's 3-2 and 0-1 = 3-3), then then team who scored more away goals (2), wins.
Winning Eleven season records:
15 Leagues won : 1, 5, 7, 9, 11, 13, 14, 18, 19, 20, 23, 24, 25, 30, 31, 38 - Runner up: 8, 10, 15
9 Champions League won: 7, 9, 11, 19, 20, 21, 24, 31, 33 - Runner up: 15, 16, 26, 34
1 Super League won: 38
7 Cups won: 17, 18, 20, 23, 24, 33, 35 - Runner up: 9, 14, 34, 38
Just always have this in mind OP.
In case of a tie in number of goals, away goal in a knockout match counts for 1.5 but only then.
Since you scored more goals in aggregate you go through no matter what.
