for 2 seasons when my players earn skills after matches or training I always click auto assign is this a bad thing?

Yes, better give them for their role, is pretty useless to use auto assign because it will give skill points in attack for defenders or in defence for strikers..

Auto assign will give the player 'all-round' skills....indeed better what Pricop said, to give the players their so-called specialized skills

Dont auto asign but remeber to put pooints on physical and mental aswell

i dont think autoassign is bad. it just use points for everything and it could be good. when whole my team has balanced defend/attack/physic/mental i can use whole pitch pressure.. everything v got some plus or minus.. it depends.
