People that play low defensive formations with counter attacks on at home should be at greater risk of losing.

Too right - since coming back I've been using more neutral formations with normal mentality and no counter at home, defensive formation with defensive mentality away, using counter only if fairly equal Quality. Seems to work OK at the moment.

With respect to the home/away conundrum, so far this season for the whole League, 56 matches played; 18 home wins, 25 away wins and 13 draws.

Maybe I need help then, because I have only won one home game in the League this season. I have tried everything: attacking formations, possession formations, all resulting in losses. I have 6 road wins though.

There's got to be some form of handicapping system in the League competition. I am convinced. Maybe not the others, but League definitely.
