Desert Rats FC had a 3-1 advantage from the away 1st Leg of their Cup Semi-Final, but were still wary of the potential of a team only 10% below in Quality. The Management decided to concentrate on defence, and the team ground out a 2-0 win to go through to the Cup Final 5-1 on aggregate. Patrick Tillmanns and Moritz Maiwald scored in the first half, but in the Nordeus spirit of 'you win some, you lose some' Tillmanns picked up an injury after the break.
In contrast to the previous match, the prospect of a home League match against the 9th place team, much lower in Quality, gave the Management the opportunity to start a few of the lesser-used players in the squad. Given attacking orders, the team was shocked to concede a goal in the first minute, but quickly rallied, Shaun Ruel bagging an early brace, then Kostadin Marinov started hitting the net, scoring five, leaving Bradley Draper and Emanuele Imbimbo to add one each in the 9-1 win.
Thanks to madflo and CM-16 for their support today, no thanks to the manager of the team that the Rats will face in the Cup Final for turning up to support the opposition.
Last 2-3 days I get the same behavior from both teams.
Scoring became extremely difficult which resulted to some unexpected draw, losses.
The timing was exact the same and it is not the first time I notice it right before the edge of last week of the season.
I hope they get well soon :)
You know I've had a similar match with you for the League. Opponent opened the score and then I won 1-5. You scored 9 if I remember correctly. I don't find these results coincidental but game engine shenanigans.Quote:

A home League match against the League's basement team gave the opportunity for the Management to rest some tired legs from the earlier match, a mostly reserve side recording an 8-0 victory. Brice Morel scored 4, Milos Jovanovic, Supachai Sunthornpit (2) and Paolo Afonso Lima Pereira the others.
With AMC Kenny out on a red card, I started an 18 y.o. who ended up scoring our only 2 goals, 1 from CK, the other a teamwork goal and took MoM. I've been buying every AMC on the market to find Kenny's replacement after he retires next season. My 4411 is doomed without an ace AMC. This could be the one...
So we're 13 points up in a tough league, after beating the #2 team. Unfortunately, my ML, CK specialist and assist-man, Brini, took a BS straight red card. So he'll sit next match... against the "new" #2 team.

Kind of a bad start into the day.
We won the last game against the chinese guy... but it was too less. We conceeded one too much, or missed to score one more. But... it was the desicion of the RNG to kick us out: da Silva had at 1' a perfect chance - headed over the bar. At ~25' he run alone through the goal, shot over the bar. At ~40' perfect corner, but he shot wide away...
I subed him for Alvarez and he scored with his first action... :rolleyes:
btw... he didn't watch the game again...
At our homeleg, I could do, what I want... was beaten by not watching opponent. So... it's... really... bad to lose triple/CL this way.:(

ALL of them were at least 10% stronger than us - after our loans. I gave my best players to have a chance to win this and they performed really well, f.e. Team of Costa scored 4 times, Costa made 2 goals, 2 assists,...
We only lost by this game... a draw would be enough, because we had a better goal difference (24:22... but lost -.-). And that's really annoying.

edited: for 2nd match in a row our academy DMC Avellaneda assisted double and thanks to this we scored the 1-2 and 1-3, now he is the Top Assists player with 12. Great our academy.

I got a nice draw against a 26.8% stronger team in associations today, although it's important to note the average of the white stats was closer than 26.8%, since it looks like my opponent used the personal trainer to get to 167.7%. I lost the first leg. The boys showed guts though, going down 1-5 in the first leg, before closing to within one (4-5), eventually falling 4-6. Second leg, the boys against went down, traiing 0-2 at the half, but rallied with 61' and 89' minute goals from Sparta.
I had my tactics wrong on this one, he was attacking with short passing and I was using defense + long balls, and defensive mentality vs. short passing is a tactical no-no, short passing game will break down the bunker. But tactics were changed to attacking + long balls, against his attack based short passing game, which brought the boys back for a draw. Draw still feels good though :)

I did not attend, 4-1 for us so we are leaders. Tomorrow we have initially a easy match and the 2nd can fail, so will not be easy because we have complicaed matches this last week, but for now we are doing the duties and we sleep in 1st place.
Next season back in business, sadly without the old version of the game. Hopefully some of the features would be added again in the game.

My second team had an incredible hard game against a full 7 star team. Thank you Nordeus to put me into a lvl higher CL so I have to face teams 10-20% stronger then me. I had a good run but this was a bridge to far. Away match tied. Home match lost with 0-1. He was a little better, so ok. I did manage to reach the final of the cup though.
The first Semi Final leg was away, overnight. 4411@96 for Pueblo vs 43w12@123 +1 level opposing, neither manager present. Pressed high, passed short, and attacked the middle. There's a team in my league, pretty active and with a 100% plus quality. A few days ago I was playing against him with 1-1 being the final score. After that result he suddenly realised that he has to tank although he can't actually do this because the point difference is too big between him and the 9th team.
Now the team that is 3rd, one point below me played with him and won 14-0.
Considering that this is the first time I encountered something like this, I'm actually very frustrated.
